The Move

"Okay, I'll be back for spring" I tell my mother as we pack the last of my furniture into a large storage truck. It's been an amazing eighteen year in Washington. I'm now moving to California with my best friend Sarah. We've know each other for ten years. I got a letter a couple weeks back about being accepted in a college in California. Not long after, Sarah got the same letter from the same college. My mom on the other hand, attempted to make me stay. My father died in a car accident when I was five. And that's pretty much the only reason my mom wants me to stay. She's worried I might crash, and not be informed about it until a month or so.

"Just stay safe. You know I love you very much" she hugged me tight. "Your bags are in the car and Sarah is already waiting at her house, so you best be off" I nodded as she spoke. We both went back inside, making sure all my things were packed. Seeing we packed everything, we went out to the front to my car. I cheek the time. 11:30. The flight is at 12.

"Bye mom, I'll be back in March!" I wave and drove off to Sarah's house. I grab my phone and call her. After three or four rings, she answers.

"Hey girl! Where are you?" She asked. I turned into her neighborhood and sped up a bit.

"I'm almost at your house. Come on outside" I pull up in front of her house and watch her run to the car. We both squeal.

"Are you excited? We're moving to California!!" She shouts, wrapping her arm around my neck as I do the same to hug her.

"Of course!" I drive away from her house and toward the airport. We talk the entire time we're in he car. She told me on how she had to break up with Johnny because of the move and how Susie was so sad about her having to move. I told her how my mom was trying her best to keep me in Washington and how Steve was crying.

"We're here" I parked and got my suitcase out of the trunk of my car. Sarah grabbed hers as well and we both went inside. It was 11:45.

"The plane is boarding soon, so we better hurry" I say as we begin to walk faster. After security, it's 11:58. Two minutes to get to our gate. From there, we ran all the way to our gate and luckily made it in time. After boarding the plane we talk some more before putting in earbuds and listing to music. My eyes closed shut and when I open them, Sarah is shaking my arm. People are standing up leaving.

"Let's go. We've landed"

Sorry if it's not that interesting or long yet. I'm trying to introduce the characters a bit more before doing all the crazy chaos. I hope our enjoyed reading the first chapter of "I love you". Byeeeeee
