"Are you sure about this?" Jin speaks, looking into the horizon, not making eye contact with the other that grips his hand tightly.
They weren't scared, they were at peace. They've planned this to every detail. To the exact date, to the exact time, to the best weather and to the most beautiful and calm place.
They sit on the edge of a steep cliff, their feet dangling dangerously above crashing waves and sharp rocks that protrude the surface. White froth and bubbles surrounding these rocks after each crash. The view is gorgeous, with both boys' faces glowing golden from the sun that sets just to the right of them.
"We've talked this through too many times. It you have the slightest of hesitation, now's the best time to express it, baby." His hand loses it's tight grip, and slowly caresses the other with his thumb. Looking into Jin's eyes, he searches for hesitation, but the only thing he sees is determination that dominates not only his eyes, but his whole expression and posture.
"Remember the day we met?" Jin asks, his face softening as he goes back to the beginning. "How nervous I was to meet you and the others?" Both were now facing each other, legs entwined, hands holding each other.
"You were very awkward we must admit." Namjoon chuckles as he observes his love's face, taking in every crease, every eyelash, every sparkle. He was always over the moon whenever he was with him, he made him so happy, his heart bursting out of his chest every second that he spent with him. The boy had turned his life completely around the moment they locked eyes on the first day that they met.
"Hey! You were as well!" Jin exclaimed, as he lightly shoved the other's shoulder. "The little stutters were so adorable." The smile on Jin's face beats everything in the world. Namjoon had concluded that nothing in the whole universe could be any more gorgeous or even close to being as bright as what was right across from him. He felt like the luckiest man on earth.
"Remember when I had to kiss you on the cheek that one time?" Jin whispers, now with both hands holding his fiance's face. The other had his hands in his lap as he played with the silver ring on his left hand. "How we both overreacted over such a little thing?"
"Oh my god, I remember! I was shouting for a full minute right after, I was so embarrassed!" A smile stretched across his face.
"And red as a tomato," Jin adds, tilting his head to the side, as he watched the other's cheeks turn pink.
"Remember our first kiss?" Jin asks another question, as he caresses namjoon's face. It seems to be the thing they're going to be talking about now, remembering every moment they have gone through up until now.
"The real one or the accidental one?" The younger smirks. Jin bursts out laughing as the other mentions the embarrassing moment, a cliche one at that.
"Oh! The one where Jimin pushed me into you and we just happened to fall lips to lips! I can still remember it like it happened yesterday." His laughter died down as Namjoon leaned into his touch and placed his hand over the older's.
"And the real one? Remember the scenery? I was so nervous about making the date perfect for us." The younger lowers his head, feeling suddenly shy. Jin lifts his lover's face by the chin and kisses him gently on the lips.
"It is one of my favorite memories of us together, I loved every single thing about it, every second. Even the part where the owl tried to attack us." This time Namjoon started laughing, Jin joined in as they remembered the big white bird flying their way and right between the two of them as they stood on the porch of the cabin that led to the clear blue waters of the lake.
"Remember when I proposed?" Namjoon asks, again embarrassed, his cheeks turn an even darker shade of pink. This story was always mentioned at get-togethers with the whole group and other friends.
"Oh gosh! Of course I do. Also one of my favorite memories! The way time stopped around us the moment you got on one knee after our incredible day together on the mountain. Everything was so perfect, the trees, the waterfall, the moon. Oh! And when the boys started harmoniously singing in the background! I thought I was in another world, it was that stunning." Jin pauses for a moment to chuckle as both of them knew where this was headed. "But of course, you being you, had to drop the ring right after giving that heart stopping speech." Namjoon shook his head, while beaming at the older. "We looked for it in the grass for over ten minutes with the others as you started silently cursing yourself. I still remember the look on your face." Jin finishes, squeezing the other's cheeks. "You're my clumsy boy."
They both fall silent, staring into each other's eyes. Their best moments and their worst flash behind their eyes as quick as the light. They knew what they were about to do.
It was a decision they had thought of together. They were happy with each other, but many were not with them. Only their friends had been the supportive ones. Both their parents were disappointed in them, the company was disappointed as well, half of their friends haven't talked to them since they made it official. Some going as far as sending hate, showing how much they disapprove of their relationship. Thinking of how their fans or friends would react to their decision was the only thing that had held them back. What had cracked both of the young boys was when their own parents said that they would rather have no son, than one like them. It had been too much and they couldn't take it anymore. So here they sit now, the end so near. An end where they could both be together.
Namjoon stood up slowly, helping Jin up right after. Both boys held onto each other's hands facing each other. "Are you sure?" The younger says, face completely serious now.
"Yes." Jin answers, smiling at the other, eyes starting to water.
"This is it then." Namjoon whispers, getting closer to his beloved. Their foreheads pressed against each other, as the younger lifted his arms around the other's neck, who himself put his arms around the older's waist. They looked into each other's eyes.
"I love you, Namjoon, forever and always." Jin says, his lips brushing against the other's.
"I love you too, Jin. Forever and always." He leans in, both smiling as their hearts start pounding faster. Their lips touch and they sigh into the kiss, loving the feeling of being so close to each other. It was followed by a series of more short kisses, with "I love you's" whispered in between each one. After a while they starting kissing each other more passionately as tears flowed down their faces.
While the lovers were holding each other as closely as possible, hands gripping the other tightly, they inched slowly towards the edge of the cliff and stepped off...
