I need to fill up my gas tank and stop for some food. The nearest town is at least 20 miles away. I head in the direction of a little town called Woodberry. I grew up going to that town.
I went to school in that crappy little town for several years. I hated it so much. The people were jugdy and critical. People I hope to never be around again.
I get to the town and pull up to the only gas station there is. It's very small. I hope to just fill up and leave. I am uneasy. I feel like I'm guilty. Why do I feel like this?
I am almost finished filling up. A car pulls up to the gas pump in front of me. A woman gets out and starts filling up on gas. She looks over at me, with a look that seems to interrogate and question me in every way. I avoid her glare and walk into the gas station to pay for the gas.
There is a man at the cash register. He waves at me and says "hey there young fellow". I wave back. I look around for some food. I grab some chips, water bottles, a few premade sandwiches, and a few other odds and ends.
I set it all on the counter. "That all for you?" He asks me. I reply "Yes, also I got gas from tank two". He gives me my total and I pay. Everything in me wants to leave. To go hide. I hurry back out to the car.
The woman is standing by my car. Peeking into a window. "Hey what the hell are you doing"! I yell at her. She jumps back away from the car, her brown hair flailing back.
She turns and starts walking away, towards her car. "What the fuck"?! I yell at her. I walk after her and grab onto her arm. She screams "Help, help me"!
The man at the counter runs and and grabs ahold of me, pulling me away from her. "Young man you cannot put your hands on woman like that"
"She was looking in my car"! I tell him. Is there no fucking justice in this world? I stop trying. I walk to my car. But before I leave, I put her phone in my pocket. The idiot didn't notice that I took it out of her purse.
"You can't just leave"! The man yells at me. "Oh but I can" I say as I drive away. I definently need to find a better place to get gas from here on out. I hope Kasey didn't find a way to get out. The thought of her leaving me, makes me drive faster.
I get there and immediately run toward the house. I rush to the basement and unlock the door. Down the stairs I go, my eyes going to where Kasey was earlier.
I breathe a breath of relief. She is still there on the floor, fast asleep. I wonder if she is cold. I go find a blanket from my room and lay it over her. She looks so delicate when she sleeps. I lean down and kiss her softly. Her lips are gentle and sweet. I pull away and go upstairs.
First order of business, I go out to my car and grab the bags of food. After I bring them in I put the food in the cupboards. I sit down at the table with a bag of chips. I'm so hungry, they are soon gone.
Now. For the real business. I pull the womans phone out of my pocket. The dimwit didn't think to have a lock on her phone. I slide it open.
Now to find her address. I search her phone. Finally I find it. 174 C road, Woodberry. Time for a ride. Before I leave, I grab my crowbar. Putting it in the car beside me. Here I come bitch.
