“Scarlett, we know what you’ve done. We just don’t know why.”
.....
.....
.....
“Scarlett, please. Why did you do it? Why did you kill those people?”
.....
.....
.....
The silence broke when a girl with long, midnight black hair and dangerous, sparkling emerald eyes snapped her head up to look the man in the eyes. The man tried to remain calm, but his fear was obvious. The sweat covering his forehead dampened his hazelnut hair. The girl spoke her first word since being captured.
“Because they killed me first.”
The man blinked, obviously shocked at the sound of her voice. It was soft, melodic, but the tone was what confused him. The way the girl spoke made him want to believe her. It was convincing, as if her reasoning was apparent.
“And what do you mean by that?”
....
....
“You wouldn’t understand.” The man had to remind himself that she was homicidal, but her innocent voice argued his prior knowledge. Shaking his head, the pleaded with her.
“Scarlett, I want to help you. Let me - let us - help you. I need you to tell me why you did what you did.”
…
...
“Alright, if you aren’t going to talk to me, I’ll send in a doctor. A therapist, actually. So unless you’d rather just tell me now, I best be on my way?”
....
“Goodbye, Scarlett. I’ll be going now.”
True to his word, another man entered mere minutes after. This man was dressed in a soft green button-down shirt and black pants. Blonde hair was parted, combed, and gelled denying any chance of fly-aways. Pale lips turned upward in a soft smile, but his green eyes gave away his panic.
“Good afternoon, Scarlett. How are you feeling?” the new man’s voice wavered his attempt of calm. When she didn’t answer, he continued speaking in an attempt to fill the silence that worried him. “My name is Doctor Brent. I have a phD in psychological disorders and was hoping to speak to you and did a little deeper on your thoughts of your actions. Is that alright with you?” Scarlett observed Doctor Brent as he wrung his clammy hands.
“You can try. Though believe me, doctor,” she spat out the word as though it pained her to say it. “I’m a loss cause, a dead end. Truth is, I’m nothing but corpse by now.”

Okay, well, I started working on this story a little while ago but am not very far. I know this is super short but I'll update soon. My friend requested that I write something, so here it is. A lot of this is going to be flashing back on Scarlett's experiences before being caught and such.
So this isn't exactly researched or anything, so I doubt the whole interrigation stuff is right, but I really don't care at the moment. I have no clue what to do for the cover so if you have an idea comment!! I don't think many people will find this anyway... If you do find this and like it PUH-LEASE COMMENT AND VOTE.
