--- NEW AIR ---
He can feel his heart jumping all over the place as he stood over the giant imposing gate of the the school he had worked so hard to get admitted into. His goal --- that no one believed he can achieve, except for his best friend. He kept standing in front of the gate amidst the sea of students who are starting to enter the school for their classes.
Okay Dash, he thought to himself. Welcome to your first day of college.
He took in a deep breath as he stepped inside the humongous gate, he moved along the flow of students who are clad in brand new uniforms. He can still smell the distinct scent of polished leather of the other students' new shoes. Everyone is dazzling and they almost sparkle in the brim light of the morning sun. All --- except him.
He's wearing a worn out hand-me-down black pants that his well-meaning neighbor gave to him. It's from his son who is now graduated. The middle aged lady was kind enough to have given him two pairs, much to his delight, at least, he can wash the other one without going to school naked. The long-sleeved shirt he's wearing is from his friend who also happened to have studied in the same school, although it's a little too big for him. He has a smaller frame --- almost scrawny. But according to his friend's, it just gave him a more adorable look --- being little, fair skinned, and with a small face.
He somehow was able to purchase his own pair of shoes, although the price tag and quality of them is far way inferior than the most of the people here. But hell, for a ฿200.00 shoes, they're a fair deal. He marveled at how people nowadays can make cheap things look classy.
