"I'm sorry!" I shouted dryly. "I didn't mean to, I was in the middle of nowhere, he was there, it was an old man! He asked me if I needed help, I said yes, then his-his face, it changed, it changed, warped, whatever you want to call it!" I screeched at her pulling my fingers through my knotted, and tangled hair.
"Okay, well, we need to do something." Anna whispered low, standing up from her awkward sitting position. I nodded in reply, but soon stopped. "How? We're chained up, and the doors locked, didn't you hear him, he dropped the key and cursed, went out, and came back with another lock and key." All my hope dropped, everything.
"Have you ever heard of picklocks?" She asked with a slight evil grin, and sarcasm in her voice.
"I have.. but here's the problem.." I paused slowly, "We, don't have any."
"But we do, well, I do." She smirked sadistically before pulling her chained hands around into her pocket, obviously in pain she pulled them out.
"I'll pick you out first, then you do mine?" She asked, abit of fear echoed in her words. I nodded quickly as she jammed the pick into my hand's lock. "Hurry before ole' man rivers comes and murders us." I said harshly.
She shushed me, and continued to pick it around. 'Click.' I heard the sound, that would be the sound of freedom if I ever heard.
"Do me now." She whispered softly dropping the pick on the floor by accident. "Oh shit." I looked around as it made a long droopy echoed around the room, making my ears scream for mercy.
I closed my eyes slightly as the door opened, bright light slamming into my eyes. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING." The man shouted harshly at us, grabbing Anna's hair, flinging her into the wall, she landed with a large thump, and a chain rattle.
"Do it again, and I'll make it more painful for the pair of you." He whispered softly and calmly.
I stared at him with glassy eyes, fogging up, it's like he could smell my fear, like some kind of animal.
"STOP STARING AT ME." he lunged at me. "No." I whispered.
'WHAT ARE YOU DOING.' Is the look Anna gave me with her big brown puppy eye. I knew what I was going to do, my arms were unchained, and he didn't notice.
"BITCH." He screamed harshly shaking me by the neck, I couldn't breathe, and everything was getting dark.
I started at him, straight in the eyes, this wasn't going planned. I gasped for air, as his grip tightened around my neck, I felt like it was breaking, every little part where his hands were touching felt like they were on fire, my eye felt like there was alot of pressure pressing,
Tears fell from my blue sparkling eyes, and my blonde hair dangled from behind. "Anna, run." I whispered smacking the chained cuffs around Old man rivers leg.
He dropped me in shock, I stumbled back catching my breath as Anna belined out the door.
Part of me felt bad, she left me.. but I can't feel bad now, it's the right thing, and I'll soon be following behind her.
I shook my head grasping my neck, it was warm, and there was a slight cut on it, everytime my finger brushed over it, it stung.
"UNCHAIN ME, NOW," He screamed in pain, the cuffs were meant for my small wrists, now they're forced on his meaty leg, cutting and chaffing.
