chapter 8

   His whole body ached. He pissed off one of the workers here and the punishment was extra intense training. Which fucking sucked he could barely move after. He lazily slides off the bed and then gets up to take a shower. He has to be at the cafeteria by 7:00 or else they won't let him in. When he took his clothes off he noticed all the dark bruises that scattered his body.

   He hissed as the hot water hit some of the cuts on him. The hot water slowly started to relax his muscles that were aching so bad before. He doesn't have any training or tests today, which he's very grateful for. Today's just a free day where he can either go to someone else's room, see his therapist, or play around with his powers in the training room. He's obviously not gonna do any more training.

   He decides just to see his therapist, he doesnt really have friends he can visit anyways and he actually likes his therapist. He doesn't know how he would of been able to take all of this so far without him. When he's done with the shower he puts on the clothes he was able to buy a couple months ago. Each inmate is given points when they either move up ranks, or do something for Dr. Wren, the boss. Fucking pathetic old man he couldn't wait till he died.

He heard a knock at his door. He walked over and saw his therapist, who he calls Jaehyung.
"Yoongi are you coming out or what?" He yells. Yoongi rolls his eyes and get his shoes on before opening the door. "God what have you been doing in there we gotta get going." Jaehyung says catching up to him since Yoongi just walked out of the room as fast as he could.

   Jaehyung is in his 40s and has a soft look to his face. He has black hair and wears glasses. The soft look on his face makes him seem nice and trustworthy. Yoongi didn't know if this was true at first making him not like Jaehyung. But now he knows it is true and now he kinda sees Jaehyung as a father figure.

  "I didn't even take that long." Yoongi says. They soon get to the cafeteria for A ranks. Everyone's ranked in how strong they are physically and how strong their power is. A being the highest and F being the lowest. Usually people who are new here are F ranks. People who have been here the longest are at higher ranks. Since Yoongi has been here the longest and luckily got a pretty powerful power, he went up to A rank pretty quickly.

Yoongi will only ever see people who are in his rank. That's just how it is here. They split them all up in a different section of the building. Yoongi gets the food he likes from the cook while Jaehyung hovers over him like a dog. Yoongi goes to sit in the seat he sits in everyday but somebody's there. Why the fuck is he in my unassigned assigned seat?. Yoongi glares at the guy to see if he'll take the hint but the guy just turns back to one of his friends. Jaehyung puts a hand on his shoulder and starts to speak "Chill out we can just sit somewhere else or go back to your room."

Yoongi agrees to just going back to his room. "But like he was in my seat Jaehyung." Yoongi says. "Uh no there's no assigned seats in the cafe." "I sit there everyday, he knows what he did." Yoongi says shaking his head, half joking.
"You didn't get any vegetables." Jaehyung says after a moment of silence looking at Yoongis tray. "I didn't like what they had up there." Yoongi states already knowing the speech Jaehyung is about to give. "Yoongi you need your vegetables you're a growing boy actually MAN may I add and for your test in a couple months you'll need to be as healthy as you can."

Yoongi freezes when Jaehyung says test. He didn't know he has another test in just a couple months, he thought he wouldn't have one for a long time. Yoongis breath quickens and he starts feeling dizzy so he tries to get back to his room as fast as he can. "Oh wait you didn't know. I'm sorry I thought Dr.Wren already told you but no need to be nervous you'll get through it." he says trying to help but it doesn't.

"I can't go through another test Jaehyung, I almost died last time! Please don't make go through that again." Yoongi begs. Jaehyung feels so bad when he sees Yoongi like this. If he could he'd take him away from this place in a heart beat and protect him at all costs, but he can't. If he tried he'd be killed immediately along with his whole family, or that's what Dr.Wren threatened when he was first brought here two years ago. Yoongi has changed in many ways but is still the same as when he first met him here two years ago.

Jaehyung sighs before saying "I'm so sorry Yoongi but you know there's nothing I can do." Yoongi stares with a blank look on his face for a couple seconds then his eyes start to tear up. Yoongi throws his tray at the wall in frustration and starts to slide his back down the wall while crying. "I can't take it anymore." Yoongi whispers. Jaehyung walks over to him slowly. "I know it feels like this will never end Yoongi, but you're so strong, you have made me so proud these past two years and I know you'll survive this Yoongi. Ill try to talk to Dr.Wren and make the test happen later." Jaehyung knows Dr.Wren will probably not postpone the test, his greed has completely taken over and he'll want it done as soon as possible. "Thank you." Yoongi says gratefully.

   Jaehyung just gives a warm smile back before helping Yoongi up. "Oh my god now I gotta clean this up." Yoongi mumbles annoyed. Jaehyung laughs as Yoongi starts cleaning the food up from his floor. "The cafe might give you seconds if you say you dropped it i'll convince them." Jaehyung says. Honestly Yoongi's not hungry so he just tells him it's fine.

   Yoongi walks back to the cafeteria with Jaehyung and puts his tray on the cart they have then walks back to his room. Yoongi sits on his bed while Jaehyung stays standing but sometimes sits down in the chair near him. Yoongi and Jaehyung just talk for hours about whatever comes to mind. After awhile it starts getting into memories from Yoongis past. Jaehyung knew all about people from Yoongis past. Yoongi only talks about them in his room though, inmates rooms are the only places not monitored.

   "And when we went on the rollercoaster it was Jungkook, Taehyung, Hoseok, and I in the first row then Namjoon, Jin, and Jimin in the second. Jungkook and Taehyung weren't even scared when we started going upside down! But me and Hoseok, haha no we were flipping OUT. We were holding onto each other screaming so loud all you could hear was us." Yoongi said while laughing hard. Taehyung and Jungkook were insane. Seemed like they weren't scared of anything sometimes then the rest of them act like babies.

   "Aren't they the youngest ones in your group?" Jaehyung asked while laughing too. "Yeah everyone else was older and acting like babies." He replies still laughing. Yoongi told more stories about his friends and parents and brother for awhile until he really wanted to ask Jaehyung to do something for him. He hopes he doesn't say no because he really needs it. "Jaehyung could you get me pictures of them and give them to me?" He asked nervously. "No, sorry Yoongi I'm not gonna risk it for both of our safety." Jaehyung replies.

   "You don't get it I really need them." Yoongi says trying to convince him. Jaehyung just replies with a no. "Why do you even need pictures of them it's not worth the risk." Jaehyung says right after. Yoongi starts getting mad. He knows it would put the both of them in danger if Dr.Wren finds out. But he doesn't really care. It's not like Jaehyung has ever tried to stop him or help Yoongi. Yeah he tries to convince Dr.Wren to postpone tests and to go easy on Yoongi which use to work but it's just postponing, the tests still end up happening and hurt worse every fucking time.

   "Because I'm starting to forget what they look like!" Yoongi yells. Jaehyung has a surprised look on his face at Yoongis sudden outburst for the second time today. Yoongi hates to admit it but he is starting to forget what they look like. He hasn't seen them in over two years. Not on picture even. He already forgot what their voices sounded like.

   Of course he remembers who had a deeper or higher voice or what he thought of the voice, but he can't remember the voice itself. Same with their faces. His parents and brothers face were forgotten more than half a year ago. He can remember features. Like how his mom has long eyelashes and his dad has a gummy smile like him. Jimin has round cheeks and plump lips and Hoseok has a smile that makes a heart shape and has dyed red hair, at least that's what he had before he was kidnapped. He remembers basic details but his brain can't make an exact face in his mind.

   "Please can you just get the pictures for me. I already forgot what my parents and my brother look like and I already forgot what all their voices sound like. They're all I have left." Yoongi says as he starts to calm down and his anger is replaced with sadness. "I can't lose them too." he continues as tears start to fall.

   Jaehyung looks at him sadly. He feels so bad that he can't give this to Yoongi. It's such a small thing but so big for him. But he knows he can't, its too risky. "I'm sorry Yoongi but you know I can't." Jaehyung says.

   Yoongi looks at Jaehyung with a mix of emotions. Disappointment, anger, sadness, and fear. "Leave." Yoongi says wiping his tears with his sleeve. "Wait Yoongi." Jaehyung says walking towards him "I said leave!" Yoongi shouts pushing Jaehyung. Jaehyung looks at Yoongi for a minute but then leaves, knowing there's nothing he can do.
