Hey! This is my Fic about Isaac and Augustus in Isaac's POV. I DO NOT OWN THE FAULT IN OUR STARS. THIS IDEA WAS FROM PINTEREST. I AM NOT A GUY SO I APOLOGIZE DEEPLY IF THE NARRATION IS WEIRD.

"DIE. DIE. DIE." I yell as I play Counterinsurgence 2 with my best friend, Augustus Waters. I guess I should introduce myself. I'm Isaac, I'm 17 years old, I have a brother named Graham, who calls me EyeSick due to the fact that I have cancer in my eye. Eye as in singular. I had to have other eye surgically removed from the cancer, and have to have the other one removed soon too. Minor detail. Augustus ends our video game by "sacrificing" (blowing up) himself as always.

"Isaac, Augustus, support group!" I hear my mom call. I groan as I turn off the game. Augustus drives us to support group, given needs the practice desperately since due to the bone cancer he had, he lost about half of one of his legs, making him a horrible driver. As well he's just a naturally bad driver. His license was mostly a cancer perk. Cancer perks are advantages people with cancer get that healthy people don't. One of the only good things about cancer. Hence, "perk", though the bar is set low as far as "good" goes on the cancer scale.

Support group is depressing as hell. We sit in the literal heart of Jesus, talk about cancer, get "uplifting" (I use that word very lightly) speeches from a guy who used to have cancer in his balls and has no life outside of this. We say our name, age, type of cancer, and how we are that day. Today, instead of sitting across from me Hazel Grace Lancaster, "Hazel" for short, she sits next to me today. Her and Augustus practically have a staring contest for what feels like hours. When Patrick, the one that I said had no life, asks me the same stuff he always does, I answer the same way I always do, but I mention the surgery.

After what feels like forever, Support Group ends. My girlfriend Monica comes to greet me when I walk out. We kiss and I "enjoy myself" a little. We separate and I see Augustus leave with Hazel. Quality friends right there. Monica drives me to my house. We talk (and kiss) for awhile until my brother comes in.

"EYESICK AND MONICA SITTING IN A TREE. K-I-S-S-I-N-G. F-" He starts to sing.

"I'M GONNA KICK YOUR ASS!" I shout at him. That's when my mom comes down.

"Graham, stop teasing your brother, Isaac stop threatening and swearing in front of and to your brother." She says. Her and Graham start to walk away, and Graham shoots me a look that says, I win.

"One of these days I will hurt him." I mutter.

"I should go." Monica says. We kiss again.

"Always?" I ask.

"Always." She replies quietly.

Two days later, three days before surgery, I go to Augustus's house. He's reading. That's weird. I glance at the cover; it's not Prince Of Dawn, so even weirder. It's An Imperial Affliction. That's when it hits me: Hazel's favorite book. He agreed to read it. "Hey." I say, breaking the silence, "We only agreed I'd come over. Remember me, your best friend?"

He looks up, "Hello, Isaac." He positions a cigaret in his mouth. I know what your thinking, 'So he had cancer and does something that will give him more cancer, how stupid is this guy?'. Answer: it's his weird idea of a real-life metaphor. He put a killing thing in between his teeth but he never gives it the power to kill him. He never lit it, so it can't kill him. And he's kind of stupid. On a scale of 1-10, a 5. We play video games as usual.

"So Augustus," I start.

"Yes." He replies.

"Monica's been acting weird. She talks over me whenever I say 'always' to her, she talks over me." I respond.
