Something more than reality : The Fire Iris

Zoe's POV

Me and Chris are now walking on a small forest road. I probably look like a total paranoid. I'm looking around in EVERY fuckin' second. After a while of paranoia I finally calmed down. As I walked Chris suddenly turned and started walking in an other direction.'Don't leave me!'I thought and quickly followed behind. ,, Where are we going?"I whisper-yelled. ,, I was here before. But when that monster appeared, I've lost the tracks which are leading of out of this Hell hole. But now I think I found the right way to go." He said calmly. I was starting to get paranoid again but then I saw the shine of the bright sun and a huge stone fell of my heart.

Mia's POV

I slowly sneaked behind the house. This guards can be pretty annoying. I looked around. ,, Great no one is around. At least I hope." I slowly climbed on the top of the house. The view was beautiful. The sunshine sparkled in bright purple, yellow and orange colors. I looked at the house nearby. It wasn't that far but yet not too close. I've never done parkour before. I'm not even sure if this counts like parkour. But if I don't jump or at least try to, they'll catch me. I backed a little then ran and ........... JUMP!!! I flew through the space between the two buildings like a damn bird!!! Aaaand then landed with a louder thud on the houses roof. I got up quickly and looked around. Some guards seemed to notice and turned their gaze to my direction. I put on the hood of my hoodie and crouched. I walked over to the side of the building and looked below me. 'Fuckleduckle' Two guards were below me. I need to get to the other roof top quickly and without any bigger noise. Then I realized how big the distance between the houses is. It was about three meters or.... less? Then something popped up my mind. 'I need to find something to distract them with' I thought. I looked all over the roof but nothing. Hmm. There must be another way to get through. Then I heard footsteps. I quickly sneaked closer. The guards were looking for something. Then one of 'em said: ,, Charles,Daniels. Both of you. Get ya ass over here and help me unload this boxes!!!" A man's voice yelled. 'Perfect' I thought. When they were a good distance away I backed again and jumped. I almost didn't make it but in the last moment I grabbed onto the roof. I sighted in relief and climbed on the roof top. ,, I'm much stronger than I thought."

Zoe's POV

'Finally free!!!' I thought. I looked at the beautifully colored sunshine. Chris stood behind me. I looked at him.,, Chris, but now when we're out of that Hell. Where should we go?" I asked. He looked around and said: ,, We'll care about that tomorrow, but now we need to find a shelter for the nighttime. Creatures that came out at night can be pretty dangerous." I nodded.
We walked around trying to find something as the sunset slowly turned into night. Finally we found a small clearing surounded by tall and thick rocks. ,, I think this place'll make it. Now let's start a fire." Chris said and we both went to find some dryer wood. Soon we both sat on a bigger rock looking into the fire. We were silent. Like eveything else. You could only hear the other's slow amd calm breathing and the sounds of nature. I looked at Chris and tried to took in all of his features. His dark brown eyes ,his musclar figure, his sharp jaw line, his messy hair. Just eveything I could. I think I fell in love with him. I'm pretty sure. Then I realized that I was stearing at him for too long and quickly looked at the ground. ,,I think I'll go to sleep. 'Night Chris." He looked at me and smiled.,,'Night Zoe." Then I layed down on the ground and looked up at the sky. The sparkling of the stars made me fall asleep very quickly.

Mia's POV

I landed on a rooftop of a smaller building and looked below. 'No guards.'I thought. I quickly jumped to another roof and then to another. I looked at the sky and it was almost nighttime.,, Damn it! I need to find a place to hide. I really don't wanna get caught while I sleep." I know now I look like I'm lazy but no I'm seriously tired of this all. I looked around and saw a small church. 'Hmm, maybe I could sleep there. There won't be anyone there at night. And I really need some sleep.' I thought. I quickly parkoured to the churches top. I looked inside but luckily there's no one there. Oh god finally. I layed down on the ground. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

Time skip to the mornig

I woke up and quickly sat up . Ohh dear there's no one here. I thought when I'll woke up someone'll ne watching me. That would be terrifying.I checked my belongings and stood up. I looked at the sky. Since I can't see a clock nearby I assume it's around 5 am. I climbed down and parkoured through the small village. 'Damn it finally out of that weird place' I hopped down from the rooftop ot the last house and ran into the forest. I must be carefull here. Even more carefull than in the village. Here I can't see everything clealy. I kept looking around when I heard a crack from behind. Oh shit. I looked around quickly. 'There's no place to hide here!' I panicked a little. Then I heard it again but now from much closer. I decided to climb onto a tree and hide there. I quickly climbed up and hid in it's dark green leaves. Me eyes were fixed on the ground below me. Soon I saw a girl walking past. She doesn't seem to be one of 'em. I looked around and saw some trees close to each other.'Maybe I should follow her' I thought. So I did. I was jumping from tree to tree and hopping I wouldn't lose her. After what seemed to be an hour we came to a small town. It was amazing. It was built around trees like that I came from but this is more mysterious. It's covered in moss and even the houses are built on each other. Or only some of them. There were a lot more brindges than in Forest Caves. The girl walked down on one and then I'd lost her. I had no choice just to climb down and follow her. I put the hood on again and climbed down from that tree.

Zoe's POV

I was in that place again. The place where I saw Mia. But now thete were no one here. I looked around and something caught my eye. It was a symbol carver into a stone. It looked like a tree in a small not very simetric circle. And that whole circle was in another circle.

I woke up and quickly opened my eyes. I looked around to find Chris but he was gone. I stood up and seached for him but soon he just suddenly appeared behind me. I looked at him and said: ,, Chris? Where have you been? I was looking.for you everywhere!" I said. He looked at me and said: ,,I was trying to find something to eat. And look what I found." Je held up a rabbit. I looked at the rabbit with sadness. But I shook ot off and said: ,, Well, thanks. At least we don't starve to death." He set the fire again and we cleaned the poor bunny from it's fur and it's insides. Then we left it to cook. After a while it was ready. I looked at it.
It looked like chewed gum. Uhh. But I slowly took a small bite and....... Shit! It's better than I thought! I ate like I haven't eaten in a year. I looked at Chris who was definitely holding back his laughter.,, What? I'm fucking hungry!" He looked at me with a chuckle. ,, Well, I hope you like it." When we finished we pour some water on the still lit pieces of wood and left the clearing.
