Prologue
Miles Prince University was nominated for best school in the country in 2011. With their large campus, inspiring teachers, and many scholarships, they were the perfect canidate. You could only guess that Chloe Merchant was screaming with joy when a scout from this boarding school offered her a full ride if she played on the soccer team and mantained a B average. The only problem? Her brother had attended the school, and had led the school soccer team to victory 6 years ago. He had not only scored the winning goal in the last minute, but he was also the team captain and is still on MPU's "Astonishing Students" hall. Having an older sibling that was so amazing at everything he did had always been difficult for Chloe.
Shane Clementine isn't very smart, nor is she very nice. She nearly got expelled from her last school for harassing younger students. So you may ask, how exactly is a girl like this ending up in one of the top schools in the country? James Clementine, also known as Shane's father, started the business Ureka, the top clothing store in California. With two beach houses and a mansion, Shane should be more than satisfied with her life. But she's not. In order to start her own business, she needs to go to college. Her grades obviously aren't going to improve, so she managed to buy her way into MPU.
Mia Sherbinski was number one in every class she took at her old high school. She was class vice president and president of six different clubs. She took second place in all of Mississippi for a mathletes competition. Mia was an easy grab by the MPU, and she took the full ride eagerly. The only problem? Mia was born with a mild case of autism, so she sometimes doesn't know when she is pissing people off or when people are trying to help her.
Victoria Lishka did it with 23 different guys last year. Her parents are always on business trips to Japan or India or something so they can both finish their jobs. They're both writers, who write about different cultures around the world. One night, Victoria's parents came home a day early to suprise her for her birthday. Caught in bed, Victoria's parents thought this would be a good reform school for her, so she can have her head set straight for college.
Elise Wyclin was given a half scholarship if she was president of the fashion club and helped to sew the school uniforms at MPU. Not only is she a wicked master at the sewing machine, she has a straight A average, and was school treasure of her old high school. But nobody is perfect. Elise was nearly expelled from her all girl's high school when she was caught making out with one on campus. Her parents didn't know, because she had been good friends with the teacher who caught her. But the teacher told her one more strike and she was straight to the principal. That's why MPU was perfect for Elise, because it was a new start.
It would only be nice if these five girls were roommates and detectives. Because when one girl goes missing, it's merely a coincidence that all of these girls were close to her. How about if the body shows up on their new campus? Yes, that should be perfect.
