Louis' Pov

"Are you sure he'd be okay with this, though?"

"Well, he's going to have to be," I grunted, stacking the last of the boxes on top of each other in the doorway as I sighed. It's been a few weeks since Niall went back to Ireland with his mother, and honestly, our lives have been quite the bore.

I don't think any one of us truly realized how big of an influence Niall was on us until he left; no hard feelings of course, he did what he had to do. Still, we couldn't help but miss him, and I thought it best that we just clean up his apartment and move some of his things into mine and Harry's; just until he felt well enough to come back.

"I'm doing this for his own good, guys. I doubt he'd want to come straight back here, what with the shitty memories that are now unfortunately, tied to this place. Wouldn't you agree?" Liam, Lily, and Harry all shrugged, soon going off in separate directions to make sure we'd gathered most of his things.

I was distracted by labeling Niall's boxes until I heard Harry come back from Niall's bedroom, none of us brave enough to go in except for him. I looked up to see him holding up a giant blue teddy bear, his fingers trembling as he tried to keep his eye away from the spots of blood on it.

"Oh...Zayn got that for him when we went out to Six Flags together. They seemed, happier back then, especially Zayn. But, yeah." There was silence, none of us really knowing what to do with it as Harry gently placed it against the wall then crossing his arms.

"Maybe we should burn it," Lily spoke up, earning a weird look from Harry as she shrugged. "What? I feel like it'll just bring bad vibes for Niall once he comes back. We should just get rid of it for him."

"Guys, I don't think that's really the best idea." Liam spoke up, his brows furrowed as Lily and Harry only shrugged as Harry picked it back up again.

"Well, why not? I think seeing this would be the last thing Niall would want when he comes back. Plus it's got blood on it...if anything that'd be a trigger too for Ni."

"No, but Liam's right," I spoke up. "Getting rid of your ex's things is a crucial moment in getting over somebody. If anyone should be doing any destruction to Zayn's things that are still here, it has to be Niall." Again nothing, Harry looking at the bear one last time before he sighed and put it back down on the ground.

"You're right, Lou. It's not our place." He brushed his hands against his jeans before he picked up another box, silently taking it outside to the hall while the rest of us followed suit. It was disheartening really to all of us; seeing Niall's apartment almost empty as if he'd never even resided here.

But again, it's what's best for him; and I tried to keep that in mind as I grabbed the last box and locked the knob on his door, taking one last look at the apartment before I closed the door behind us.

Niall's Pov

I laughed as I scored another goal against Greg's team, his loud shout of protest enough to make me wheeze until he threw the controller down on the couch.

"Oh, screw it! I'm not letting my younger brother beat me at my own game." Out of frustration he shut off the console, earning a groan of frustration from me as I huffed and crossed my arms.

"Fine! I'll just go do something else, then." I left the couch and made my way upstairs to my room, rummaging through my blankets to find my phone. I lie on top of the sheets and scrolled through my social media, feeling bad for my followers that I hadn't really posted anything since my attempt.

A lot of them were disappointed, but there were still some that continued to send me their love and support as I tried to get through this rough patch. I owed most of my sanity towards my family, all of them doing their best to make sure that I didn't let myself become too immersed in my thoughts of Zayn.
