Chapter 20: Shops and shopkeepers
"The road to success is dotted with many tempting parking space" - Unknown
There it was again, the increasingly high noise of my feathery neighbors. It would always start with one, then two and the next thing you know they're flapping around tree singing their melody, violating the insides of my mind. Stupid Birds! Why did I agree to plant a tree next to my window in the first place? God! Where is that BB gun? I swear I'm going to use it today.
My ears twitched with every oncoming tempo, and my dream of magical powers fizzled fade out. I warned you birdies! Now be prepared to die!I rustled against my sheets feverously trying to free myself out. The main objective was to get the purple BB gun located underneath my bed. My hand was out and I started to roll over to the right, prepared for battle. It was then my fingers landed on something, which forever blocked my path to vengeance. I opened my eyes, blinking rapidly against the sun's rays and hissed in retaliation.
What in God's name? What is that? What the hell is that? Oh God, Who's on my bed?A nice patch of dark unruly hair, rested against my pillow as my eyes traveled down, it became even more apparent that there was tan broad shoulders and the bare torso of a man was breathing deeply next to me. My eye wide with every new detail, mouth agape holding on to a slow t scream of terrorOh please don't be? Ahhh! My voice cracked when I lifted the sheets to confirm my suspicion. Oh naked body! Naked body!
I let out a shriek as I thrashed my way out of the bed, taking the covers with me. With a graceful thud I landed against the floor, only to grasp at the connection of my bare skin hitting the cold floor.
Another yelp ventured out as I wrapped myself with the blanks on the floor. Why am I naked!! A soft groan escaped from on top of the bed. The sheets rustled as a set of fingers fumble out of the covers and reached to where I once was. A soft chuckled escaped from the bed as I back away slightly A pair of jaded eyes looked down at me amused.
"What are you doing down there sleepy head come back to the bed."
"What in the hell are you doing in my bed! Why are you naked?"
He lifted his right brow, his eyes traveled up and down my body hungrily. "Why are you covering yourself? It's not like I haven't seen you naked before? You were more than willing to show me everything last night." I stood up flabbergasted at his presents, not knowing his fingers laced around the sheets and pulled me toward him quickly. I landed on top of him, his hands finding their way down to my hips and rested there, "I'll be glad to repeat last night's events if you really don't remember."
"No!" I rolled over and sat up, making sure there was enough distance between us.
"No? I don't remember you protesting when you were screaming my name for more. Come here. " he responded with a sly smile, the sheets that covered him sensually cascaded down his torso. Unearthly more of him to me. I crawled back with the covers tightly encompassing me. There was no where to go, and he laughed hotly at what he assumed was role play. His hand caught the trim of the sheets, and pulled. My hands slipped as He crawled over to me. His naked body captivated my sense as I let go to cover eyes. My body flew back as a reflex and another screamed escaped my lips as I fell backwards off the bed.
**************
I awoke, startled. Heavy sweat dripped from my forehead as I looked around the room. My hands skittered over the covers, a wash of relief enveloped me as the feeling of emptiness and satin sheets laid beside me. A flicker of the dream caused me to lift the satin sheets for a confirmation.
Good, no birthday suit.
With a sigh of relief I rolled out of bed, Matthew was still asleep on the floor. His left arm rested over his head as the other seemed to vanish underneath the pillow. The sheets were scrunched down to his waist line which did little to subsided my hot cheeks as I looked away embarrassed.
