The rest of the day flew by until I entered the history classroom. I sat in my seat, a mixture of excitment and horror at seeing Zayn again filled me. What should I do? My anxiety only intensified when he entered the room and sat in his seat right beside me. He smiled at me and said, "Hey."
I stared at him stupidly then responded, "Hi."
"How has your day been?" he asked.
When I opened my mouth to repond, the bell rang, and the teacher stood up and began writing on the board. Zayn pulled out a sheet of paper and began writing as she stated lecturing. He discreetly passed me the page. On it read a message saying:
As I was saying, how was your day?
I rolled my eyes and wrote:
Alright except for the encounter with your new friend. You should really keep him on a leash.
He suppressed laughter, and began to write.
I tried, but he broke it. P.S. I'm sorry about him.
I smiled internally, still the same old Zayn.
Not your fault, so it's ok. -P
Doesn't mean that I don't take responsibility for his actions. -Z
No really. I'm flattered that you have told your friend all about me. -P
His face flushed slightly.
Well it's not everyday a girl completely ignores me and runs away. You kind of caught my attention. It's OK I know that it was your intention from the beginning. It worked, so you can rest easy now. -Z
I scoffed and began writing my response.
....
The rest of the period Zayn and I continued passing notes back and forth. When the bell rang, we exited together but not talking. I saw Jade down the hallway and said my farewell to Zayn.
