This is as the title explains. A genderbent one-shot of the Sirius-Lily-James dynamic, from Harry Potter. You're welcome.
For the one-shot purposes, Sirius will now be Sylvia, James will now be Jane, and Lily will be...Liam. This is told in Jane's (James') perspective.
I walked down the hallway, bag over my shoulder. I blew a strand of hair out of my face; it was a mess, as per usual. I saw Liam up ahead, and waved, grinning. I blushed when he waved back. When I reached him, he put his arm around my shoulder.
"Ready to go?" he said, that famous grin of his making my inner-girl sigh contentedly. I nodded, and we started to walk off.
"Um, uh-uh. Where do you think you're going with my Janey?" I turned and laughed. Sylvia was coming, barreling in our direction.
"To potions." Liam continued walking.
Sylvia threw her arm around me. "Uh-uh. I don't think so. Janey is mine."
I blushed. "Sylvia-"
"No, she's mine." My inner-girl died when Liam said that. Both of their arms were around my shoulders now.
"Look, guys. I'm sure you can share. You can share me," I attempted, but they were too far gone in their argument.
"No, she's mine. She's been mine for forever." Sylvia tried to tug me towards her.
"Yeah, exactly. Now she needs someone new!" Liam tried to tug me towards him. I blushed.
"Guys, no. Don't fight." I grabbed both of their hands, which were still draped around my shoulders. "This probably looks very weird," I muttered.
"Since when are you worried about looking weird?" they asked in unison. I laughed.
"Come on, guys. We don't have to fight about this. You can share me, I swear." They were both silent for a moment; maybe it had worked.
"Duel you for her?" Sylvia asked around me.
Liam grinned, "You're on." They whipped out their wands and squared off, right there, in the middle of the hallway. I covered my face with my hands.
"Lumos!" Sylvia yelled. The hallway brightened significantly.
Liam laughed. "What kind of a spell is that for a duel? Petrificus totalum!" Thankfully, Sylvia dodged the spell. This is getting serious, I thought. I had to stop it before it got out of hand. Suddenly, I had an idea.
"Accio, wand!" I yelled, pointing my wand at Sylvia's wand. Her wand flew into my hand.
"Nice reflexes," Sylvia muttered.
"Accio, wand!" I pointed my wand at Liam's wand. His wand flew into my hand, as well.
"Aw, Jane, c'mon." His green eyes almost crumbled my resolve. Almost.
I held both of their wands just out of reach. "Look," I said, sighing. "I love you both. Very much. But I cannot have you acting like this. We need to take our studies seriously and get to class on time, and there will be absolutely no shenanigans."
Sylvia and Liam looked at each other. They burst out laughing. "Good one, Jane." Sylvia fell to the ground, she was laughing so hard.
I grinned and tossed them their wands back. "I thought so. Now let's try that duel again. For real, this time."
The following is *sort-of* based on actual events.
