Long lost love

They headed down the stairs inside, and out the hotel. They decided to go to Marinette's house and tell her parents that they were now a couple. Then they would tell Adrien's father. Adrien didn't feel very good about telling his parent. He doubted Mr. Agreste would be happy for him and Marinette.

Mr. and Mrs. Dupain-Cheng were ecstatic. "Oh, honey," Marinette's mother said, "We're so happy for you! I knew you two would eventually realize your feelings for each other. Oh, I can't wait to hear about your first date with Adrien, Marinette!"

"You two look great together." Marinette's dad was saying. "You better be good to my daughter, young man," he said kindly.

Adrien replied, "I can promise you, I'll treat her better than ever!"

Adrien and Marinette were happy, but a little embarrassed that the married couple were so talkative about teens' dating each other.

When they finally got out of the back room of the Dupain-Cheng's bakery, the two were so joyful that two parents were happy for them. Now they had one more less enthusiastic parent to deal with. Adrien felt pretty confident that he could convince his father to let him date Marinette.

When Adrien and Marinette came to Adrien's front gate, he became less confident. Marinette squeezed Adrien's hand,

"It's okay, I know how your dad can be and I'm sure he'll understand!" She gave Adrien a small smile, "besides, what can he do? Stop us? We could always see each other in secret."

Adrien looked down at her and nodded, taking out the key to unlock the gate.
