My Immortal
Chapter 1:
Love love love! Blah! It makes me wanna puke! All that lovey-dovey stuff..Ihh!! Terrible but, I can't complain cause of my Mom, Aphrodite. Plus my very annoying brother, Eros. Just because I came from the fragments of Cronus and been given life by Aphrodite doesn't mean that I'm either hateful or loving. My feelings are Neutral.
''Good morning, my dear rosebud.'' she said gently. I rubbed my eyes and mumbled out in greek. ''Watch your mouth there Aros!''
''Right, sorry Aphrodite.'' I muttered.
''Ha! Told you she can't go out with the humans on her own, besides, that's my job, right?'' Eros chuckled. That little brat is very annoying. I stood up from the balcony and walked to him.
''Listen here Mister! I can do things better than you okay? I'm one of the Olympian gods, remember? Gaia hid me from everyone else.''
''And why did she?'' He crossed his arms like he's some kind of supreme ruler.
''How the Hades would I know??'' I pouted and marched away. This family of mine is really annoying. But to tell you the truth, there's one god I love. And that's Apollo, the sun god, god of music, god of healing, who always speaks the truth. Of all gods, he's the only one I don't dislike.
My brothers, Zeus, Hades and Poseidon, they're nice to me but they're all really hard headed guys, you know? My favorite big brother is Poseidon honestly. Then I stood at Aphrodite's garden. It's full of glowing roses that symbolizes humans' love. Each one is for a specific human on Earth, there are still lots of roses that hadn't bloomed yet. This simply means....Eros hasn't been doing a good job. Ha! Lame!
I suddenly glanced at a small rose bud near me, when I touched it, it bloomed but it was different from the others. ''It's someone special darling.''
I turned and saw Hestia, the goddess of Hearth, my elder sister. ''Special? Did I do something wrong?''
''Not really, but none of the gods touches these buds other than Aphrodite.'' she chuckled. ''You my dear would have to ask the Fates.'' she gave a sweet smile. Hestia is very calm, her hair flows like flares of fire along with the wind and her face seems so gentle as her movements.
''What brings you here Hestia?'' I said with a small sigh.
''Just wanted to see Aphrodite's beautiful garden. My palace turns out to be the most boring palace of all of Olympus!'' we laughed. But then she turned quiet.''And this is where I see how beautiful love is.''
''Psh! That again? I had enough hearing blabbers about that sister.'' I pouted and started walking away.
''Buy dear Aros... There's still more to come for you. You'll find your's.'' she smiled. ''You've touched someone's heart...''
I quickly turned around and stared at the flower. No! It can't have anything to do with me?! ''N-No! I can't love anyone! Or much as no one can love me!''
''Tsk tsk tsk.. You are truly naive and childish my sister. You'll see it when the time is right.'' she smiled. ''Plus...'' she hovered with every step she took. ''I know about Apollo.'' she winked and I felt my face was plush red. I shook my head and then notice she was gone.
''Aros! Aros!'' it's Aphrodite's voice. I turned to her and went near her.
''What is it?'' I mumbled.
She looked bothered. ''Zeus wants to see you...Go with Hermes now''
''I can get there on my own...'' I walked pass by her and went to our palace gates. ''Oh good to see ya' Hermes!''
Hermes smiled, he looked rather childish than usual. ''Let us go Lady Aros.'' he offered a hand.
''Don't 'Lady Aros' me.'' I held his hand and flew with him. His winged-slippers, Maya, were quicker than expected. I couldn't hold it in any longer...''Ahhh! Slow down!''
''Sorry!'' he apologized yelling, the wind blew in our ears making it difficult for us to hear each other. ''Lad-- I mean Aros! To be honest you're certainly more beautiful than Aphrodite!''
''What?? I didn't quite catch that!'' I yelled.
''You're welcome!'' he smiled and landed us at Zeus's palace. It was big...like really BIG! It's gates were shining gold and roared open as we stepped in. ''Father, Aros has arrived.''
Zeus sat at his enormous throne with his powerful lightning bolts beside him. He stared down at me with a sly smile.
''Yoh brother...'' I said casually. Hermes and other guards were shocked and stared at me.
Zeus laughed. ''Hello sister.'' with a wave of his hand, the guards exit the room. Then he stood and walled to me. ''Aros.. How many time must you upset your mother?'' he said frustratingly.
I shrugged. ''I don't know? 20 to 100--''
''AROS!'' he yelled, stopping me from speaking and sighed. ''You must learn to actually use that frozen heart of yours.''
''Thanks for rubbing in that 'frozen for a thousand years underneath Earth' situation again... It's not like I wanted it to happen.'' My chest felt heavy.
''You are Aphrodite's daughter... Learn to love! You are not here just to ruin things!'' Then it hit me, remembering that time when I almost made Olympus fall apart, and the time when I almost burned the surface of the Earth with Apollo's chariot, and the time I accidentally freed all the dead souls from Hades. Ehe, sorry, I mess up BIG time.
''Riiiiigggghhhht'' I said with a sigh. I played with my fingers and smiled sweetly at angry Zeus. ''Sowwee big bwother... I didn't mean to wuin evewything.'' I pleaded.
''You are unbelievable... Fates been decided.'' What? He grabbed a lightning bolt and held it before me. ''Aros! From this day on, you are to live on Earth until your heart softens and you have 3 months to do so. When you don't succeed...You shall be enslaved in the Underworld for eternity!'' He threw the bolt at me and my chest burned.
''Wait!'' I stared fading from my feet to my torso. ''Zeus! Wait!! Hold on! I'm Sor---'' my voiced echoed the halls of Zeus' palace. I'm no longer an Olympian? No way...No freaking way!
