Hidden magic (Complete)

Chapter sixteen: Party crasher.

Shadows pov
"Is everything ready?"
"Yes master"
"Good now you have my word to send my soldiers, but! I want some of my soldiers to go after the Princess so she knows what to expect when the time comes."

Aria's pov
I walked to the top of the stairs that led out to the ballroom, I came to the top of the stairs and everyone's eyes were on me, I felt my heart sink to the pit of my stomach one of the guards called out my name and everyone was overwhelmed with happiness. I picked up my dress and proceeded down the stairs I was trying desperately hard to hold back my nerves.

Jacob walked over to me "You-um-look- "
"Thank you "
"Well do want want to dance?" He said as he bowed in front of me "I would love to dance with you " I said as I responded with a curtsey. He took my hand and we walked to the centre of the ballroom together, I placed my hand on his shoulder and held his hand in mine.  And we glided  around the ballroom floor moving as one to the music and one another, the imaginative world came back and the chatting fell silent, the imaginative world was stronger everything around us was blurred and I could only focus on Jacob, his eyes smiled brightly and shone when they hit the lights. The music faded away and we slowed down and stopped ,staring into each other's eyes, we heard people clapping around us and I felt my face put on a smile, people started to flood into the centre of the ballroom, I made my way out from the middle "I told you those lessons would help" spoke Jacob"yeah you were right"
"I'm going to find the guys I haven't seen them in a long time"
"Alright" when Jacob left I talked to some of the children, until I heard a large rumble and the kids ran to their parents the rumble came from the front of the castle everything fell silent, the silence was deathening compared to the rumble, everyone had their eyes on the door, the rumble stopped and people made a sigh of relief.

Our relief was short lived. The great door opened revealing soldiers in black armour that was covered in spikes and held swords in their hands.

The soldiers rushed forward cutting people but not killing them, almost like it was intentional all of my people dashed in different directions , a cold hand grabbed my wrist. I knew it wasn't Jacob. It sent shivers down my spine, I was dragged away from the ballroom I tried to get away but the grip was too strong, when I tried to use my powers it didn't work, every time I did I felt drained. I was dragged further into the South wing.

And then I was outside in the woods cold metal surrounded my wrists and I immediately felt drained and weak again, I fell to the floor in excruciating pain.

Jacob's pov
Every person in the room fled in different directions "what's going on?!" Shouted Liam "I don't know!" Cody responded whilst  shouting "where is Aria?" Derek pointed out, I looked around in a panicked state through the crowd, I saw Myst running towards me by the time she got their the guys left "Jacob! Someone took Aria!" Myst said.

"What direction?" I screamed back "follow me" I followed Myst pushing past everyone not caring about their reaction, we went further into the South wing and through to outside.

Aria's pov
The pain was overwhelming, I had to think quick, to try and escape, but how, I had limited options. Another sharp pain flooded my body and I let out a scream that echoed the forest.

Jacob's pov
I looked around franticly trying to find Aria until I heard a scream coming from the woods I sprinted as fast as I could.

Aria's pov
My eyes were beginning to close and give into the pain, but the pain was too strong and my eyes gave in.

Jacob's pov
I almost ran out of breath immediately but I carried on going I came to a open area I saw about 100 soldiers standing on the other side and one soldier standing and facing the opposite direction to me I moved around to see clearly why he was facing the other direction and I saw Aria lying on the ground not moving with two metal cuffs around her wrists.

I used my powers and spawned  in a sword and shield so I could attack I ran in the direction towards the  soldier that had its back to me  i pushed the sword into his chest and pulled it out I watch as the soldier fell to the floor the rest of the soldiers attention struck me  and they rushed towards me I thought off as many as I could but I slowly began to be crowded the 100 soldiers Surround Me and I was unable to move I had no way out.

Aria's pov
I fluttered my eyes open to see soldiers pointing their weapons in the same direction, between two soldiers I made out that they are surrounding Jacob. I gathered all my strength up kicking the pain out of my body. I couldn't let them hurt Jacob, I felt my teeth become sharp and my skin turned into scales, my body grew in size and I could feel my body was in my Dragon form.

I flapped my wings hard enough for me to fly high into the air I cast my shadow over Jacob and the soldiers, I opened my mouth and realeased the burning hot fire that was built up inside me I burnt all of the soldiers with all the strength I had left when I saw that they were all dead, the little strength that I had I used it all up my body turned back into a human in mid air I felt my self fall my eyes closed shut and I fell unconcous.

Jacob's pov
I saw a shadow cast over me and I look up to see her humongous purple and teal dragon flying in the air it opened its mouth and   I could see fire burning up inside it.the built up fire erupted from its mouth, I placed my shield in front of me deflecting the fire, the soldiers screamed and fell to the floor dead. I looked up at the Dragon to see that it transformed into a human, Aria, rapidly she began to fall back down to the ground I made my sword and shield disappear and ran towards where she was going to fall I reached out my arms and caught her.

I layed Aria on the ground and pushed the hair that was in her face away, she looked so peaceful but i had to get her inside I teleported us to her room and gently layed Aria on her bed.

I didn't hear any comossion in the ballroom.Then suddenly in stormed Cody, Derek, Liam and Ryan. "Where the hell have you been!" Exclaimed Derek "yeah man we had to deal with those soldiers ourselves" Said Ryan
"I was busy..." I spoke "doing what?!" Cody asked "finding Aria!" I shouted back at them "What?!" The all said in unison" during the whole intrusion one of the soldiers must of took her, Myst came to me and said she was gone, I heard a scream coming from the woods and ran over there I saw at least 100 soldiers and Aria unconcous chained to the ground I tried to fight them off but i got surrounded"
"What else?"
"When I was surrounded a purple and teal Dragon burnt the soldiers to death, but the Dragon was Aria she transformed in mid-air because she was weak "
"Where is she now?" Questioned Ryan I moved to the side to show Aria lying on her bed unconcous the room was silent. " why would this happen?" Derek said breaking the silence " I'm not sure but it must do with Shadow"
