Rose's POV (aka Darnella)

"Alright good night," I said.

I ended the call and laid on my bed. I faced the ceiling and thought about how I was going to assasinate him. I was told that Eugene had been contributing to running the business of selling dangerous drugs.

Many people died from consuming these drugs. I was given instructions to assasinate him or his whole family at the annual masquerade ball in Sicily.

I was given the liberty to call for backup in Sicily. Fortuntely, we have a Sicilian joint and the backup crew would be no further than 3 miles from the ball.

I sighed in frustration. It was clear that I was starting to have feelings. Of course, I didn't want to admit to them. That would mean that I was becoming weak.

Assassins don't have feelings. Otherwise, we would never be able to put the bullet through one's head or chest.

I stood up and walked over to my full-body length mirror and dried my hair. I was just finished with showering and getting dressed when I called him. My make-up was already removed by then and I hung my towel dry before heading to my bed once more.

I laid on my bed and began to think of strategies to get him to trust me within three months. I was expecting the worst since he obviously knew his way with girls.

My mind began to switch in between dreamland and reality. Before I knew it, my eyes started to droop as I drifted off to sleep.

___

I woke up to the sound of my basic alarm. I bolted out of my bed and headed to the shower. Today, is Assassins Day which is a day where assassins meet each other and share about their kills and strategies at a convention.

This year, it would be held at the headquaters of Innocence Agency. The convention starts at 11pm. Currently, it is 5pm. I was supposed to collect my heels that I bought from an online store.

I went over to my dresser and to get a hoodie and some sweats to wear out. I grabbed a slice of bread and jogged to the door. I held my keys and placed it through the key hole of my door to lock it.

I walked to the end of my apartment hallway and pressed the lift button; down. The lift arrived to my apartment level and I stepped into it.

"I'm here to collect the black velvet stilettos?"

"Your name?" the cashier replied.

"Manchester."

She nodded her head and pulled out a black paper bag which, I assumed, contained my shoes. She allowed me to examine the shoes, which I purchased, for any defects and none were visible so I claimed my purchase and went on my way back home.

As I walked back home, I took the time to appreciate the trees and nature surrounding the streets of New York City. The evergreen trees were as vibrant as neon colours and the clear blue sky did not have any visible clouds floating around.

I breathed in the polluted air caused by the vehicles passing by every minute. I smelt something gross which was from the dumpster I passed by and something sweet which was from the candy store.

I heard the sound of my Vans creating friction against the concrete floor of the pathway. The crunch sounds were satisfying. I felt the soft walls of beautiful graffiti. I traced my fingers across the wall. Each line, curve and colour represented a different story.

Soon enough, I arrived at my doorstep. I pulled out my keys out of my pocket and unlocked the door. I put my new heels on the floor of my kitchen and headed to my room to take a short nap.

It was about nine when I woke up from my nap which started at six. I put on a black zip-up one piece that showed a little cleavage and put on some black high-waisted jeans.

I put some make up on and straightened my hair. I sprayed some perfume on myself and some hair mist that smells like vanilla.

By the time I was done, it was already 10pm. I grabbed my black leathers and headed to the door. I grabbed my phone, wallet and keys and strolled to the exit. I closed the door and went on my way to the headquaters.
