So it's a brand new day and I am looking forward to spending the day with Marty. I smell bacon and eggs all the way from the kitchen to my room. Scarlet is an early bird and she is the total opposite of lazy. She could carry 20 bags of cement and still have the energy to do extra chores. I wake up and brush my teeth and head toward the kitchen; she made bacon and scrambled eggs. She smiles and says, "good morning!" I answer, "Morning!" "I have a surprise for you, I made pancakes!" she added. I raise my eyebrows and say, "Really?! Thank you scar! You're such a darling." "We're out of maple syrup so get some honey from the cupboard." She added. "Yeah sure," I answered as I walked toward the cupboard and got the jar of honey and sat on the kitchen table. We had breakfast and I showered and dressed up for the day. Scarlet had left an outfit on my bed before she sat watching T.V. I wore blue high-waisted denim shorts with a short black striped t-shirt and a nude-beige cardigan with white sneakers and headed out to Marty's place. He was standing beside the driveway outside his house wearing casual jeans and t-shirt with a pullover. He had a belly so he hated wearing belts. He had curly grey hair and a cute mustache. He walked towards my car and said, "Blue dear!" with a jolly voice and a wide smile. He had the perfect set of teeth for a 68-year-old. He loves eating so he took care of his teeth so that he could chew properly. I smiled and said, "Hi Marty! Hop in!" He sat and patted my head. We went to our favorite mall called Desert Sky Mall. We spend hours and hours at the mall because they have amazing stores and food courts and other extra fun activities. We turn our heads from left to right and I say, "First let's get you the shoes you wanted last time." We walked to the first shoe store and looked for the brown Acemarks loafers. "I want you to wear them when we go for dinner to a fancy restaurant next time," I tell him. "Yes dear, you sure do know how to choose men's outfits and shoes but you never know how to choose yours." He laughs. I laugh with him and answer, "I have no idea why. I think I should have been a guy." We both laugh and head out the store after getting the loafers. "Let's go get some coffee," I tell him. We walked towards the coffee stand and order two full cream cappuccinos and sat down. "So tell me. How was your week?" he asks me. "It was a crazy week. But the good news is Bethany is coming back home." I answer. He grins and says, "That really is good news. Our prayers have been answered." I went ahead and said, "Yes. And I told her and Scarlet to join us for dinner today." He smiled and said, "That's good for a change. She has been in the hospital for way too long." As I took a sip of coffee I said, "Oh yeah guess what happened yesterday?" He looked at me and asked, "What?" I cleared my throat and said, "Well I had a therapy session with the CEO of Mueller Tech!" With a surprised look on his face, he said, "No way! Really?" "yes," I answered. He then grinned and said, "Were you nervous talking to the guy? I mean he is young and handsome and I know how you get around guys even if you're a therapist." I laughed and with a soft tone, I answered, "I know. But you won't believe when I say that it went smoothly. I didn't sweat or stammer, I just handled it like any other therapist." He said, "Hmm, this seems different. Something tells me that you and he are going to keep seeing each other often." With a startled look on my face, I said, "What? You haven't even met him, Marty, you can't say that." He laughs and says, "My dear, you know I have lived for 68 years now and I know how the universe works. So just mark my words." I giggled and said, "You're funny."

After we had coffee we strolled around the mall. I saw a men and women accessory store and said, "Marty!! Let's get matching father-daughter bracelets!" His eyes widened and he proudly smiled, "I'm so glad you consider me as a father. This is the luckiest I can get." I smile with tears in my eyes and say, "I miss dad sometimes. But when you're with me I feel like he's right next to me." He patted my head and hugged me. As I went ahead and got in the store with Marty behind me, I suddenly froze. "What's wrong dear, why did you stop," Marty asked. "It's-it's him." I stammer. "Who?" He asked. I clear my throat and say, "Eden Mueller." Eden was standing next to the stand of watches and he looked up and our eyes met. He smiled at me and I smiled back. I tilted my head slightly as I think to myself that he has one of those smiles that could make your heart melt. He walks towards me and my heart was as calm as the sea. "Hey Blue!" He says with a joyous voice. "Hello Eden," I say I the same tone. Marty comes from the back stands next to me. I introduce them to each other, "Marty this is Eden, Eden this is Marty." They both smile at each other and Eden says, "Hello, nice to meet you." Marty looks at me then looks back at Eden and says, "Hi son, nice to meet you too," Eden then looks at me and says, "what a pleasant surprise!" I don't know why I blushed and said, "Yeah same here." I was caught staring at him again and this time I wasn't just caught by him, but Marty too. "Ahem!" Eden hacked. After that Marty hacked too, "Ahem!" I then look away and then look at my wristwatch and say, "Oh! Would you look at the time, it's 1 o'clock! Marty, I'm hungry, are you hungry?" He grins and says, "Yeah let's go to the food court." He then looks at Eden and asks, "Would you like to join us?" I look at Marty with widened eyes and exclaim, "Marty!" He looks at me and says, "What? He's a friend right?" Eden answers instead of me, "Yeah you could say that." Marty smiles and says, "Alrighty then!"
