Ash got to her locker, putting in the combination and flinging it open. She placed her water bottle in and grabbed her English textbook, double checking her schedule to make sure she was grabbing the right thing. She was correct and slammed her locker shut, walking over to the Freshmen English class. Ash slumped against the wall, waiting for the bell to ring while flipping through the textbook.

"Hey Ash! You have English first, too?" Ash looked up to see Valerie. She smiled at her dorm mate.

"Yeah, I do. It seems like a pretty easy class from what I've been flipping through in the book here." Ash said, closing the book and standing to her feet. At that very moment, the bell rang very loudly. Ash and Valerie ran into the classroom and got two of the first row seats. Students continued to pile in until the late bell rang. Ash looked up at the English teacher.

"Hello, class. I am Mr. Lefsok, today we'll be hopping right into the classwork. Open up your textbooks to page seven." The teacher man said. Ash groaned, opening her textbook on the right page right away.

"Nice." She mumbled to herself, looking over it.

:¨:

The bell rang and everyone began flooding out of their classrooms. Ash got to her locker and checked her next class.

"Oof, chemistry. Where the heckle is that?" Ash thought out loud. She pulled out her chemistry book and began walking around. She saw the two girls from breakfast talking to eachother near the stairs and approached them.

"Hey you fiddles, where's the chemistry class?" Ash asked them. They both looked at her in unison, grimacing.

"Ugh, maybe if you were paying more attention instead of pining after Jax, you would know." One of them said. Ash narrowed her eyes, quickly getting offended.

"Excuse me? Who said I was pining after Jax? And weren't you one of those girls who was harassing him earlier?" Ash spat back. The girl gasped.

"Whatever! Get out of my way, you cow!" The girl said, pushing Ash out of the way and striding off with her buddy. Ash grumbled, but then smirked as an idea popped into her head. Ash blasted a weak beam of water at the girl as she walked away, laughing to herself as she walked off and listened to the girl groan extremely loudly.

:¨:

"Ugh, I can't believe I missed chemistry because that hoe wouldn't tell me where to go!" Ash complained. She slumped up against her locker as Erika listened intently.

"Sounds like they're thirsty for Jax," Erika joked. Ash laughed, taking out her baking book.

"You have baking next? What a shame, I have math." Erika said. Valerie and Jaxon walked up to them.

"What do you guys have next?" Valerie asked. Ash held up her schedule.

"Bakinggg." She groaned. Valerie and Jaxon both had math with Erika next.

"You lucky bitches!" Ash shouted. Jax chuckled.

"Well, see you later, Ash," Jax said, walking off with Erika and Valerie following him. Ash grumbled, trudging to wherever the Hell the baking class was.

  :¨:

Ash walked into the baking class. She saw the girls who bothered her about Jax earlier but didn't think much of them. She walked up to one of the baking stations and started following instructions given by the teacher when a boy with light brown hair and hazel eyes walked up to her.

"Uh, hey there. My name is Jamie and I was wondering if we could share baking stations? All of the other ones are taken." Jamie said nervously. Ash looked up at him and nodded reluctantly as she began mixing the batter. Some of it flung up onto her cheek and Jamie slightly gasped.

"Let me help you with that." Jamie stepped closer to Ash and held her by the waist. He carressed Ash's cheek but in the process also removed the batter from her face. Ash looked over and saw the girls taking pictures and/or recording with their phones. She grumbled and continued working.

  :¨:

"Just one more class and I'll finally get to lunch.." Ash thought, shuffling to her locker and flinging it open. She checked her schedule.

"Nice, swimming for merfolk. This'll be easy." Ash thought, putting her schedule back into her locker and walking to one of the many pools on campus. When she finally arrived, she saw a large assortment of merfolk decked out in all kinds of oceanic jewelry. And Jax, but he wasn't decorated in pearls or clams. He stood out from the crowd. Ash looked down at herself and noticed she pretty much fit in as well, but it didn't matter to her. She walked over and leaned against the wall, listening to the teacher.

  :¨:

"FInaLLYYYYY" Ash groaned, putting her shit away and sprinting to the cafeteria. She ran in, buying tons of food and water and sat at a table in the middle of the cafeteria. She began inHALING EVERYTHING SHE BOUGHT when Erika and Jaxon walked up.

"Uh.. Ash? You alright?" Jax asked. Ash looked up and hissed, continuing to suck up her food like a vaccuum. Erika and Jaxon sat down uncomfortably when Valerie hopped over with some guy none of them had seen before.

"Hey guys, meet Dave! I met him in my Royal Etiquette class that combines all four grades! Isn't that exciting?" Valerie said gleefully. Dave waved and sat down across from Ash.

"Hi, I'm Dave. I enrolled here during Junior year and I've been going here for a year now." Dave said. Valerie giggled.

"iSN'T THAT NICE??" She practically shrieked into Ash's face. Ash finished inhaling her food and looked up.

"Mmmmmhm." She said. She took out her phone and began scrolling through Insteeegram when Valerie noticed her. Valerie jumped over the table and looked her up on Insteeegram, immediately following her. Ash was startled but continued scrolling until the bell rang and students had to get to their next class.

"Well, I'll see you guys later." Ash said, standing up and leaving. After finally getting to and opening her locker, she saw that she had Royal Etiquette next.

"I guess she was right." Ash said, looking for the class and quickly finding it. She walked in and sat down next to a girl with white-ish blonde hair and a pastel dress. In the corner of her eye, she saw the two girls from earlier, but decided to ignore them.

"Hello there." Ash said to the girl. The girl looked up at her with reddish-pink eyes.

"Hi, I'm Vivianne, but you can call me Vivi if you'd like." The girl said. Ash smiled. Maybe this class wouldn't be as shitty as it appeared.
