Dark.
Cold.

(Y/n) shivered as a cold hand touched the bare skin of her cheek, followed by a trailing of a finger down her back.
Her eyes opened to find the glowing red eyes of dracul staring into hers.
"You woke, good."
His deep voice and Romanian accent that usually gave him an intimidating edge now sounded emotional.
All she could do was nod.

"Rest. I will take care of you", with that he left her to herself.
Alone in the dark.
Her most hated of situations.
She tried to call upon her light magic to light the room for her comfort, but it seems that she lost her magic.
The Scandinavian female closed her eyes and thought of being back home with her brothers, she felt warmer with her thoughts.

A weight pulled (y/n) out of her thoughts, it was a heavy but warm blanket.
"Does this help?"
The siver haired Scandinavian female nodded.
Dracul gave her a look over before he ran his hand in her hair spikes.
"So soft", he mused, "very nice."
He was even more amused when she smacked his hand away.
"Don't touch me."
She could have sworn she heard a chuckle from him, but she was too tired and weak to know.
"Loki will be by soon, so we can be married", The Romanian stated.

(Y/n) jumped up furiously then regretted it, she was still injured.
"He what?! You what?!", she growled painfully, "no!"
"You were unconscious long enough for me to complete the final tasks.", he said in a matter of fact Tone, "meaning that we are engaged."
The Scandinavian female coughed from the pain of her wounds, "I never agreed to this."
The dark Romanian sat her back onto the table she was on, "sit and rest."
The silver haired female could not argue anymore with him and lay back on the hard table, The vampire like man pulled the cover back over her and petted her hair before turning back to the open books behind him.
This gave her the chance to look around.

They were what appeared to be a lab.
It was probably where dracul spent much of his time, as evidenced by the lack of dust in the room.
Some papers and chemistry plans were scattered about, diagrams tacked up on the walls, and a wall of old books in the bookshelf.
The lab was well taken care of, almost lovingly and dedicated like.
Small plants that were used as potion ingredients grew in their pots near the bunsen burners, the only source of heat.
A small skeleton perched high on the bookshelf for decoration seemed to watch over the lab with a keen eye, almost like it was a living animal.
Bubbling potions sat on a shelf next to a large ingredient trunk, the smaller shelves were displays of his proudest works.

The more she looked at the lab, the more impressed she was with him.
Dracul had stopped working a while ago and was watching her reactions to his lab, her eyes had childlike wonder sparkling in them with a glowing fascination.
He could see that she was impressed with the lab he worked hard to keep maintained, his work payed off as she looked at his accomplishments on display.
Her eyes met his and she looked away, almost as if embarrassed that she was caught staring.
Her small soft hands wore the gloves he made to protect the wearer from the opposite magic type, that's how he was able to pet her and carry her without being harmed.

A small tapping on the door was heard and it flung open to show Loki, "Hej~"
(Y/n) was happy to see her older brother and tried to get up but was stopped by dracul, "you will hurt yourself, don't strain"
"Fuck off drac, she's a big girl.", Loki laughed and hugged his younger sister, "glad to see you're okay. We were worried as hell when you took that bullet."
Loki kissed her head and she returned the hug, "what is this about me marrying this guy?"
"Well, he did complete all the necessary tasks and risked his life to get you to safety after both he and you were shot.", Loki said, "You don't know this but he took the bullet before you did, so the bullet slowed down enough to not impact as badly."
(Y/n) looked over at dracul, he nodded as to say it was true.
"Tak.", the female said softly.
"Now let's get this done!", loki shouted and clapped his hands, "It may not be traditional, but it is better than nothing."
Loki went through the paces and had them exchange vows before permitting the kiss, Dracul and (y/n) were married.

Dracul did not force her to do anything she did not want and she helped him in the lab and around the house.
After a few years, their fist child was born and Thurston finally accepted that he lost his love to someone else.
He settled for being a good uncle to the kid.
