I plopped down onto the couch along with Jinx. We walked back home, none of us saying a word. Something seemed off about her...Well, something always seems off about her but this time was different. She seemed sloppier and not to mention the fact that she seemed extremely silent, more silent than usual. I asked her what was wrong but she ignored me, staring at the blank tv screen with furrowed eyebrows. She'd never looked so dazed. I waved my hand in front of her face for a couple of minutes. She didn't even blink.
"Earth to Jinx. You there?" I asked, getting worried.
"Yeah." She mumbled but part of me thought that she spat it.
"PMS much?" I mumbled. "I'll just go to bed." I stood up and walked up the steps, hearing a snort. Talk about grateful.
I sat on my bed, trying to process what just happened but soon giving up. There was no reason for her to suddenly start acting like that...unless it's her time of the month... That's probably it.
I took off my clothes, leaving only my boxers on like I always did and plopped onto my bed. My eyes flickered from the ceiling to the open window then back again. I couldn't help but keep thinking about Jinx and it wasn't the 'she's so cute' kind of thing, it was the 'holy crab, there's something wrong' kind of thing. I didn't get what was wrong with her nor did I really want to know what was wrong. Something seemed of and that something seemed bad.
I heard the open and slam of a door coming from downstairs so I went to the stairs to check. Jinx was no longer there but Jenna, Mike, Brent and Derek were. They finally came back.
"Sup, guys." I muttered, stretching my limbs.
"Why're you in your boxers?" Brent asked, his eyebrows raised.
"Do you not want pieces of clothing on my body." I smirked at him.
He gave me a surprised look which soon turned into a smirk. "No, I don't want pieces of clothing on your body."
"Okay then." I started tugging on the hem of my boxer shorts.
"NO!!!!!!!" He then yelled.
I stopped tugging on it, relieved but trying my best not to show it. "So do you want pieces of clothing on my body or not?"
"YES!"
"Wait, yes as in with clothing or yes as in no clothing?"
"With the clothing! My girlfriend does not need to see your genitalia!" He yelled with the most frantic face in the history of mankind.
I scratched my butt and walked down the steps. "So anyways how was the hunt?" As if yours could've been worse than mine with Jinx.
"Okay, I guess." Jenna replied, sitting down on the couch with her gift.
"Okay? That's all you say?"
"Yes." She let out an exasperated sigh. "Jinx's gift was so hard to find."
"Why? Where was it?"
"In a street lamp. That girl has one creative mind. It was the one right in front of the house." She whined. "How could I have missed that?!"
"I have no idea." I said as I snickered and she punched my arm, mumbling an insult which I just brushed off. "So how about you guys?"
"AWESOME!" Brent yelled, kissing Jenna's cheek.
"Great." Mike said.
"Amazing!" Derek screamed.
"Course it was! It was from me!" Brent replied. At least they had an okay scavenger hunt. Mine just so happened to result in a pissed off Jinx and a confused mind. So basically, it sucked.
