People of the world, teens, children, adults, oldies-*coughs* I mean elders, I think there is something you should know. And accept.
There is evil inside us.
Inside all of us.
We might manifest it, become evil people, or we might not. Point is, whatever we choose, that evil is always there, just waiting to come out, dying to take control of us and eat us up from the inside out.
I believe the Bible, and Torah call it original sin.
Corruption is a magnification of that evil. Perhaps that's why its so easy to corrupt a person.
My name... is Esperanza Jimenez.
I have no friends.
No social life.
A family that gives a new meaning to the word dysfunctional.
And fifteen years of age.
My name means hope, for those who don't speak Spanish.
It's ironic, really.
Since I don't have one.
Not one single hope.
Well, thats not entirely true if you could count the hope everyone has, that somehow, every thing is gonna be alright.*Crash!*The sound of something falling to the floor cuts the silence like a knife. I look down and continue writing.
But spoiler alert, when you have a life like mine, nothing is completely alright unless you make it that way.
