I woke up the next day next to James to the smell of pancakes and the chitter chatter of girls on the foot of the bed. I slid up to a sitting position slowly, trying to not wake James up, and i looked around the room. There were blankets covering the entire floor and pillows everywhere. Did they ALL sleep here last night??
"Good morning sleepy head!" Mel rushed over to the side of the bed, putting her arm on my shoulder.
"Hey. Ugh, i had this crazy dream that I was at the ball and these boys tried to--" as i said that, Mel's smile grew to a thinking face. "It wasn't a dream. was it?"
Mel nodded. Then i remembered James beating the living crap out of Jason. With a worried face, i looked down at him. He had a busted lip and a bruise on his right jaw line. I bent over and kissed the bruise. His eyes opened and he looked up at me, smiling. "Morning." i whispered.
"Hey." he shifted so that he was comfortable. My eyes grew wide when i noticed that he was shirtless.
I just looked down at him, speechless as he folded his arms behind his head. "Hey Mel, what did you tell my mom?" i turned over to look at her.
"Oh just that we had too much fun and that we wanted to sleep over. Ya know, to finish our girls day" she held up air quotes on girl day. So my mom has NO clue about the destruction that happened? Thank god. I thought to myself.
"So what happened exactly last night?" I looked down at James.
"I was worried about you Al. We didn't see you at the ball last night, and we got worried so we went chasing after you." he spoke.
"And that's where i came in." Ash said, raising her hand.
Oh my god! i don't remember the last time I saw Ashley! "Oh my god!!!! ASH!!!" i crawled over the bed as fast as i could to hug Ashley, but i accidentally kicked James in the face. "Holy crap! i'm sorry James!!"
He started laughing. "It's fine. it's fine. Just as long as i see you happy."
" Awww!! I knew you guys would've ended up together!!" Ashley said as she pulled me into a big hug.
"Who didn't?" i chuckled. Me and Ash spent the next half hour catching up with girl talk and I still couldn't belive that she was here.
"Hey, let's go swimming!" James held his hand up like a little kid trying to catch the teacher's attention, trying to break up our screeching and loud screams as Ash talked about numerous boys who've been checking her out since the last time i saw her.
"Hey!! Lets!!" I got all excited.
" Mel and I will meet you guys down there, we're gonna go buy some swimsuits." Ash said.
"Oh, ok. We should go..." Mel stood up and walked backwards to the door.
"But you're in your pajamas..." Ash laughed. Mel was wearing these South Park Pajama pants and a Yeah Yeah Yeahs shirt.
"Does it matter??" Mel smirked.
"Well, i guess not!!" Ash laughed.
Hey do you guys want anything?" Mel offered as she waited at the door.
"Uhmm, Get me Arizona Green Tea." i said.
"Get me one too. And a box of chocolate covered macadamia nuts." James smirked.
"Don't push it boy." Mel laughed. "Okay, we'll meet you guys down at the pool in fifteen minutes." she said, walking out the door.
"So what now?" i looked down at James.
