Ch.18: Waking up

Embry stays up for a couple more hours but then passes out on the couch. I decide to go sit with Lexi until she wakes up. I walk in the room and feel this crushing pain in my heart. It's killing me, seeing her like this. I just walk over to the bed,sit in the chair next to her bed, and hold her hand in mine. Then I just start bawling. I;m sitting there, crying out of sadness, anger,guilt,but also happiness.

I'm crying for another four hours. But then I feel her hand squeeze mine back.

~~~Lexi's point of view~~~

God. Stop beeping. Urg. I this beeping is driving me crazy! Maybe if i could see-AAAHHH! BRIGHT! not a good idea. Bleh. I hurt allover and I'm still tired. Why am I even awake? Then I feel someone holding my hand and I hear crying. I slowly open my eyes to see who it is. Where the heck am I?Then I see Jake holding my hand so I decide to squeeze it. He looks up at me.

Jacob- "Lexi?"

Lexi- "Hey Jake." I say my voice kinda raspy. I see tears of joy flowing down his face.

Jacob-"Oh thank god! Lexi. I thaught you were going to die!" I give him a puzzled look. "Do you remember what happened?"I shake my head. "You were attacked by a vampire Lexi." a wave of realization washes over me. Her holding my neck, ready to snap, the wolves surrounding us, The bite. Oh my god! am I - Oh god. Please please no.

Lexi- "Am I-!"
Jacob- "No!No,no. Your fine. Your human, Your fine." He let out a tear.
Lexi- "Jake, What's wrong?"
Jacob- "I thought I lost you, Lex. I could feel the bond breaking. You were dying Lexi." He has waterfalls of tears streaming down his face.
Lexi- "Jake, Jake!Look at me!" I pull his face towards me to look me in The eyes. "I'm fine."
Jacob- "I love you Lexi."
Lexi- "I love you to." He then kisses me sweetly and with passion.
Carlisle comes into the room.
Carlisle- "Am i interrupting something?" he says with a slight grin.
I look down and bite my bottom lip in embarrassment.
Jacob- "No. Not at all."
Carlisle- "We'll i just came in to say Lexi is good to go. But I do suggest she take it slow for the next couple of days."
Lexi- "Okay. And thanks so much Carlisle, for everything."
Carlisle- "Lexi, I'm not the one you should be thanking, Emmet is. He's the one who saved you."
Lexi- "I'm so getting him a present." Then I hear a 'WOO' from down stairs. We all start laughing.
Jacob- "C'mon Lex. I think you have some visitors." Hey says with that amazingly cheeky smile of his. He then picks me up wedding style and starts walking down the stairs. "Hey guys. Look who's up!"
I hear an eruption of 'YAY's. Awe. I feel loved. Everyone was here. The Cullens (of course), all of the pack, and even Emily and Claire were there. I just start laughing.
Lexi- "Hey guys! Um...Jake, You can put me down now."
Jacob- "Nope. I'm not letting you set foot on this ground until you're all better." I jump out of his arm and walk towards Emmet. "Lexi!"
Lexi- "Jacob!" I walk toward Emmet and give him a big hug. "Thank you so so much Emmet! Thank you."
Emmet- "No problem girly! Now, about that present..." We all start laughing.
Lexi- "I'm hungry."
Jared- "Well then, Let's go grab you some grub." He says tossing me over his shoulder.
Lexi- "Jared, Put me down."
Jared- "NEVER!" He says then runs out the door. He starts spinning in circles. In the middle of the driveway. I just sit there with my head resting on my hand with an amused smile. But then I feel myself being tossed in the air.
Lexi- "AHHH!" But then I'm being caught,bridal style by Paul. "Oh, Hey Pauly!"
Paul- "'Don't call me that."
Lexi- "And if I do?"
Paul- "I'll do this." Then he grabs me by the ankles and holds me upsidown.
Lexi-"Paul!"
Paul- "You want me to put you down?"
Lexi- "No Paul, I want you to turn me into a unicorn. Yes I want you to put me down!"
Paul- "Okay." Then he starts swinging me and next thing I know I'm back in the air, But caught again. This time by my wonderful Jacob.
Lexi- "Hey Jake."
Jacob-"Hey Lex." He says giving me another wonderful smile. "Having fun?"
Lexi- "I'm having a blast. Now lets get some food." We all head over to the diner and Joke around. I stuff my face and eat amost as much as the guys did. Well, not as much as them. i don't think I could fit all that food in my normal sized, non-bottomless pit of a stomach. After we were done, Jake took me home. Embry went to go hang at Quil's place and said he wouldn't be back till later. And my mom always works late, so we'll have the house all to ourselves.

Jacob- "So what do you wanna do now, babe?" He says as we're walking in the door.
Lexi- "How 'bout a movie night."
Jacob- "That sounds great."
Lexi- "Okay I'll go grab a couple of movies. You think you can handle making some popcorn?"
Jacob- "Lexi, I think I'm good with popcorn."
Lexi- "Okay, but I expect that popcorn to perfectly popped by the time we get back."
Jacob- "Ma'am yes ma'am." he says saluting me. i go up to my room ad pick out a few movies and I grab a blanket incase it gets cold.i walk back downstairs and I see Jake sitting on the couch I pop the first movie in and plop on the couch next to him. "What we watchin babe?" He says while wrapping his arm around me.
Lexi- "Blades of Glory."
Jacob- "Really?"
Lexi- "Yeah."
Jacob- ".......Awesome!"

So we sit through that movie and Jakes all like 'I wanna pick the next movie' so I let him. Big mistake. He had to pick the scariest movie ever. i was too scared to pay atention. I can't even remember what it was called! So I picked the next movie... Valentines Day.

Jacob- "NO!"
Lexi- "Revenge!" He just sits there and pouts. "Hey Jake, That guy kinda looks like you."
Jacob- "Eh. I don't see it." We finnished the movie andI t was like, 2 in the morning. I started to yawn. "You tired hun?"
Lexi- "Yeah, kinda."
Jacob- "C'mon, Off to bed." He says while scooping me up in his big warm arms.
Lexi- "Okay." I say as I snuggle into his chest. Jake sits me down on the bed.
Jacob- "I love you Lexi Anne Call." He says as he tucks a lock of hair behind my ear.
Lexi- "I love you, too Jacob Ephraim Black" The he kisses me. It is the most amazing kiss I've had in my whole life. It's sweet and full of passion with a little bit of roughness mixed in. He pulls away and looks deeply in my eyes, resting his forhead on mine. He kisses me again and soon it turns into a full makeout session. He leans me back onto the bed and my hands go up his shirt. He rips it off. he then starts playing with the hem of mine. I pull away, breathless. "I'm sorry Jake, I can't."
Jacob-"Don't be sorry." He says putting a hand on my cheek. "I'm not going to make you do anything you don't want to do." then we just lay under the covers wrapped in eachothers arms until we drift off to sleep.
