Ch.22: Present

***A Few Weeks Later***

YAY! CHRISTMAS TIME! I'm so excited. Christmas is probably one of the best holidays ever. Two more days 'til then, and I know exactly what I'm getting for Jake. I'm gonna get him a puppy! Jake's always loved dogs, and well it kinda makes sense, seeing that he is a wolf and all. So, later I'm gonna go by the animal shelter and see if I can find him a new best friend. Right now I'm over at Sam and Emily's eating breakfast with all the guys except Paul, he's with Kayleigh or something, and Leah. I just finnished my delicious pancakes when Quil decides it's a good idea to fling his pancake covered in syrup at Jared. So they start a pancake war. Awesome. I sprint into the kitchen and duck behing the counter before I'm covered with pancakes and syrup. Next thing I hear someone come in the door. I peak around the counter and as soon as I do I see Sam getting hit right in the face with a very syrupy pancake.

Seth- "Uh oh!"

Quil- "RUN FOR IT!" He and Seth run faster out the back door than I've ever seen them run my whole life.

Sam just lets out a big sigh and walks toward the kitchen, as do the rest of the guys.

Jared- "Um... Lexi? Why are you on the kitchen floor?"

Lexi- "So I wouldn't get bombarded by syrupy pancakes." I say matter-o-factly.

Jared- "Oh. Okay."

I get up off the floor as Jake walks towards me.

Lexi- "What do you think your doing?" He just keeps walking forward holding out his arms. "Oh no." I say holing up my hands defensively, "I'm not hugging you with that syrupy body of yours"

Jacob- "C'mon Lex. You know you love me."

Lexi- "I do love you but not when your sticky."

Jacob- "Well that just leaves me with one choice." He then starts chasin me around the kitchen and out th back door where he catches up to me and I'm engulfed in a big syrupy hug.

Lexi- "AHHHHH!!! EWWW! Jake!" Everyone comes out the backdoor and I see snickers coming from most of them. There is syrup everywhere now. All over my body and in my hair. "Thanks Jake now I have to take a shower."

Jacob- "I'll join you."

Embry- "Jake." He growls.

Jaacob- "I'm just kidding, Em. Cool your jets."

Embry just grumbles as we all walk back inside.

Lexi- "Sam, I'm using your bathroom."

Sam -"Allrighty then. Thanks for asking."

Lexi- "You're welcome," I say smiling cheekily. "Embry, can you go grab me some clothes?"

Embry"Fine," he sighs, walking out the door.

I walk towards the bathroom grabbing a towel. When I get it I strip off my very sticky clothes and hop into the warm shower. As I'm trying my hardest to scrub off all the syrup I can I hear a knock on the door.

Lexi- "Who is it?"

Emily" It's Emily. I have your clothes.

Lexi- "All right. You can just set them on the counter. Thanks."

Emily- "No problem, hun." She says setting my things on the counter and walking out the door.

About half an hour later I'm done scrubbing my body and washing my hair. I hop out the shower and put my clothes on. [polyvore]

I walk out the bathroom and grab a plastic bag to put my other clothes in. I come back out the bathroom with my clothes and plop on the couch. Leah wlks in from patrol and plops down nex to me.
