A small dusty yellow truck barrels down the deserted highway with nothing but dust in the tracks behind it. Nothing but dry sand and pavement could be seen for miles, hold for some mounts in the distance. The paint looked like it could use a wax however, the black stripes seemed to remain black which seemed alright.
In the two front seats of the cab sat two people with the window rolled down and music blasting over the speakers, conveniently with no one for miles to hear.
"Take it easy, take it easy"
"Don't let the sound of your wheels drive you crazy"In the driver's seat sat a man with short hair and a bit of a beard growing in, but still a younger looking complexion with some black glasses to match. He had a white shirt on and a pair of darker cargo pants and some boots that looked pretty worn in. He carried a rather large looking knife that was curved and looked better for slashing and whacking than being used to cut open cardboard boxes. A bit of the handle stuck out of a leather sheath, a hole in the bottom to grab and use as seen fit with a smaller, squared spike looking best for striking. There was a vest with a chrome-like sphere stuck to the back, sitting on top of a leather jacket and a rifle sat across.
"Don't even try to understand"
"Just find a place to make your stand, and take it easy"In the passenger seat, there was a girl about the same age with a denim jacket and some black pants with composite guards on the knees and shins. She had longer gingerish hair and as well as a pair of glasses and some gloves that left her fingertips open. She had a pistol strapped to her hip and a larger hunting knife hanging from the other with a very striking polished pommel. The pistol on her hip was a fairly simple steel frame pistol with a grippy grey polymer handle, what was deadly was the 18 round clip and the specially designed holster that when pushed towards the ground, had a piece that would give and push the slide, loading the first bullet from the mag into the chamber making a pistol with an already fast and smooth fire, even faster on the first draw. Gun oil gives a person a hell of an edge.
"What's next on the CD Ali?" asked the man.
"Loops back to It Came Out Of The Sky by Creedence Clear Water Revival. Dan, don't you ever get tired of this story?"
"Nope. Doesn't get old to me." he said as he turned up the dial a little louder, pushing the speakers a little more as he continued to fly down the highway.
