The next day, Lexi brings me into a room inside of the house that I had never thought to explore. I saw punching bags and an arena that looked like a boxer arena. She told ne that this was where one part of my training would begin. She led me to the arena and said," Show me what you got". I stood there dazed for second and then realized what she meant. Fight. She wanted me to fight her. I didn't know what to do because I have because I have never fought before so I just balled my hands into fists and took a wild swing. She easily ducked and roundhoused me in the stomach. I sank to my knees at a loss for breath and that was all she needed. She ran at me and tried to dropkick me but I managed to roll and avoid it even though I was still dazed. I stood there waiting for the next move. She ran at me again but this time feinted left and went right and uppercut me to the jaw. I managed to stay on my feet this time and kicked out with my foot. She caught it and twisted it and used it to shove nt to the ground where she kicked me in the stomach once and declared that the fight was over. Then she began teaching me proper defense stances and punches and kicks so that way my next fight would be easier. She tells me to meet me in the exact same spot tommorow to see if I have learned anything and then she dismisses me for breakfast. I go off and find the doughnuts that I missed earlier and grabbed the last two glazed and was satisfied. My father then walks in and tells me that training has been moved up and he seems really shaken up and worried. I ask him what's wrong but he just shakes his head sadly and I want to know desperatley what can make him so worried. He brings me to another room I had never thought to explore. This time everything is all white. Two recliners are sitting in the middle of the room. I take a seat and ny father takes the other. He tells me that the training has two parts: the physical portion is the self defense I'm learning with Lexi and the magical portion is with my father to find what kind of magic I have. He also explains the magic I demonstrated back with the snake was just because my life was in danger and my magic was awakened. All of this somehow makes sense and I have no trouble believeing it. He told me to relax my mind so my magic could present itself again. I waited. And waited. And waited. Nothing happened. My father dismissed me with his face somehow more worried than before and his hair was disheveled from how many times he had run his fingers through his hair during the time we were sitting there. My father tells me we were there for an hour which shocks me.
It goes like this for 3 more days. I finally win my first fight against Lexi. We started off in the arena and the word "Go" had barely left her mouth before I was already at her and I faked a punched to her stomach and reared my left hand and caught her right next to her eye. She staggered off balance and I took advantage and sweeped her off her feet. She tried to get back up but I kicked her back down and the fight was over. Even with that victory every day I feel dread walking to that white room because I have had no success and when I get up to leave today my father stops me. He tells me that I need to try harder and I lose it. The frustration of not being able to succeed to see what I am capable of got to me and my anger and rage revived my magic once again but this time it was different because it was the magic that is my capability and not just to save my life. My branch of magic was revealed and I don't have any of memory of it but from what my father tells me is that the temperature dropped from room temperature to freezing temperature like that and the ground next to me split and a skeleton crawled out. I apparently commanded the skeleton to use all of the bones to create a cage and trapped my father in it. Apparantley Lexi came in as soon as the temperature dropped and helped my father out of the cage and as soon as he was out the cage dissapeared. He also told me that my branch of magic was the rarest and it was called necromancy. He said it was very rare and only comes around when something catastrophic is going to happen. And then according to him I passed out. Giant snake? Check. But my magic was discovered after that catastrophe so what if my necromancy was revealed before something even more catastrophic was about to happen? I then wonder what could be worse than a giant snake and shudder at the thought when I hear an explosion come from the kitchen.
