Poem 1

When the world is asleep,

I find myself pausing,

reflecting,

wishing,

praying.

The day's hard work,

The things I still need to do;

The chores awaiting me when I wake,

I'm pulled in every direction,

The husband

The kids

The pets

The garden

The home.

All needing my attention.

Such is my life, the life of a mom.

I have no regrets,

This was my choice.

This, my calling.

All I can give,

I give my all.
