"Kill the part of you that believes it can't survive without someone else."

I clenched my jaw in anger as I saw the girl walk away. Her words killed me mentally, she lowered my self-esteem. Not that it was already low.
I looked down at my right fist that I cradled to my chest. Right when I stomped over here, I smashed my fist into the brick behind me. My fist was already bleeding and bruising from me punching the punching bag last night. So this pain was worse than last night.
I leaned my head back on the brick in frustration, my tear-stained face scrunched up in pain.
I'm glad she didn't connect the dots that I've been crying, or she did notice and didn't say anything.
God, I hope she didn't see anything. I felt my phone rumble in the pocket of my joggers. I grabbed my phone and saw Robin texted me.
Robin: are you crashing at my place again? Or does your dad already have another job for you?
I frowned at how blunt Robin was, though he always was blunt, even throughout his high school he was blunt. His mouth got him places, both good and bad.
I roll my eyes at the memories I had from when I was a sophomore, and he was a senior. How we would be skipping, and if a teacher would catch us he'd always blame me or say something stupid that get us both in trouble.
I give him a simple reply.
Me: I'll crash there
I placed my phone back in my pocket, and sit in silence. Only the sound of birds chirping in the air, and the cold wind going through my brown hair.
The silence was interrupted when footsteps could be heard to my right.
"Why'd you come back?" I asked as I looked over at the person with a frown.
She took a couple of steps closer to me and slowly finds a spot next to me. "Nobody deserves to be alone in their suffering," she answers simply.
When I didn't speak up, she took the opportunity to change the subject. She looked at me with her green orbs eyes, "Wanna listen to music?" She questioned, holding up her phone that had headphones already plugged in.
I ignored her and turned back to look at the brick wall, but the girl turned on her phone and gave me an earbud that's I reluctantly took.
The music then started flooding in my ears.
She then started to sing along with the lyrics, "Looking through low lights at silhouettes. But all I see is lonely people in crowded rooms. This city is gonna break my heart"
My eyes widened at her beautiful voice I'd don't expect such a stranger would be so comfortable singing in front of someone like me.
I closed my eyes and listen to her and the song as it went on. I leaned my head on the brick wall and watched the dark cloudy sky move. Rumbles of thunder were heard, but the music was the only thing that we heard.
Her voice echoed through my ears as she continued singing the rest of the song, and I felt a tingle in my chest. But I ignored it, only listening to the girl next to me.
