Chapter 1
There it was, a black and white egg lying in the cold snow left to die.
What they didn't know, it wouldn't die, it had to be the one egg out of a batch of 3 that lived, the one egg that had to survive, that just had to.
The egg started to crack, slowly at first, but then it shivered, rocking back and forth, back and forth. A tiny hole popped open at the top, a purple forked tongue poked in and out of it. Then it cracked more, and a tiny, not tiny grey and black head popped out of it. Next was the rest of the body, leaving the tail to shake the egg off. Drift closed his eyes, bright, very bright were the first things his eyes ever saw, maybe the last. A ice-white dragon came and scooped him up, making a loud yelping sound as he was picked up he looked as the ground got farther and farther away from his little baby talons. The dragon not realizing how cold the scales of the dragon was grinded his teeth together. Drift looked up, blinking his eyes into the black void of the other dragons, was this who would raise him? Or kill him.
