The three of them were locked in a stare down against each other; four panicked eyes staring at two baffled ones. Nothing but silence as the air around them was tense and cold.
Then the green haired kid on the ground was the first to speak. "(L-L/N)-san! T-This is not what it looks like! Really!" He tried, waving his arms around.
"That's right, young lady! I'm just a stranger giving compliments to a strange kid!"
"...Okay, that's not what it looks either!" The (H/C) haired girl was too busy losing the little peace she had left inside of her to properly register what the two in front of her were saying, so she interrupted their ramblings by saying the first rational thought she had.
"You," She pointed at Midoriya, "are a delusional fool. And you," Then to the deflated All Might, "are a crazy fool for believing in him. And I," And then to herself. "am also a fool for actually listening to the both of you."
So blunt!
(Y/N) let out a small sigh. "So, you are supposed to be that burly, strong, number one hero, right?"
The Symbol of Peace took a deep breath and tilted his head downwards, his two bangs of hair covering his eyes. "YES INDEED!" He bellowed, body puffing up and muscles showing, his triumphant smile on display. Then, he spit out blood as he deflated into his scrawny form, freaking out the freckled teen.
"Eh." Unamused, (Y/N) replied, "You... are lying to the face of a clearly desperate kid. Why?" She asked, looking up to All Might for an answer.
The blonde man took this as his chance to say what he wanted. A very crucial one at that, but when he recognized the girl's face, he had no hesitation. "That's because I believe he's worthy... Of inheriting my power!"
"Huh...?" Both teens said, sharing a confused expression wanting for All Might to explain himself but he only laughed at both of their faces.
"Hahahaha! What's that face for?! It's a proposal! The real work begins here. Listen, my boy..." He pointed at the green haired male that was still on his knees. "I'm asking you... If you want to try accepting my power!" He asked as more blood came from his mouth.
'Inherit...?'
"This concerns my quirk, kid." He mentioned, wiping some blood from his mouth. "The tabloids like to guess it's Super Strength or Boost Power. And I avoid the question in interviews by making jokes. Because All Might, the "Symbol of Peace"- has to come off as a natural born hero."
