Chapter 17

~Sam's POV~

"Hey babe." I smile as Darcy opens the door. "Hey. What's going on? I didn't know you were coming over." She says with a worried look on her face. "I gotta talk to you about something."

"Oh god, are you breaking up with me?" She asks getting worried. "No, no...well not exactly." I say rubbing the back of my neck. "Listen, you know I love you more than anything and I would never leave you unless I absolutely had to." She nods. I let out a sigh. "I have to go back to California." As soon as the last word slips out of my mouth, Darcy is in my arms crying. "Please don't leave me." She cried. "Darcy I don't want to but I have to, but I want you to come with me."

"What? You want me to go to California?" I nod my head. "What about my parents, what about your pack, and what about Kian and Jade?"

"I already told them I'm leaving and they said if you want, you can come with me. I promised them that I would keep you safe. I talked to Kian, but if you go with me then you have to tell Jade."

"Ok. Ok I'll go with you." We both smile and I connect out lips together. "You better go get packed and then go tell Jade. We are leaving in the morning." She nods and runs upstairs.

-Jades POV-

"So you are leaving first thing in the morning." I ask after Darcy tell me about California. "Yeah, I'm sorry but I won't be gone for long. Sam says it will only be for a few months and if you want you and Kian can come visit anytime."

"I just can't believe you're actually going. I'm gonna miss you." I hug her. "I'm gonna miss you too. I'll call you as soon as we get there and I'll keep you posted. You just keep me posted on what going on here with you, Kian, the packs, everything. Ok."

"Ok." I smile and let her go. She smiles and walks toward the door. She opens the door but doesn't leave. She turns around to look at me. "I'll see you soon." She smiles one last time and walks out the door.

After Darcy left I called Kian and he told me that Sam already talked to him. He also said that he is a little suspicious of Sam going back to California because he didn't tell Kian why he is going back and Sam tells Kian everything. I told Kian it was probably nothing and now Kian and I are once again at the cliff with our feet hanging over the edge.

"Well at least this day wasn't all bad. I mean it sucks that both our best friends are leaving us for a few months but at least we aren't fighting or ignoring each other." He smiles. "Yea I guess." I say as I put my head on Kian's shoulder. "What are we gonna do now that they are gone?"

"I have no idea. All I know is that I'm gonna go visit them next week. I can't go more than a few days without seeing Darcy." I say as I lift my head off Kian's shoulder. "Yeah I'll come with, you know for protection." He smirks. "Haha very funny." I punch him in the arm.

"Alright, come in babe. We got to get back." He says helping me up. "Why?" I frown. "I have a surprise for you tomorrow and you need to get some rest if you want it." He smirks.

-Sam's POV-

"Babe! Come on we don't want to miss our flight!" I yell from the bottom of the stairs. "Ok I'm coming!" She yells back and seconds later I can hear her footsteps. "Are you ready?" I ask taking her suitcase in my hands. "Yup." she smiles.

"The flight from Ohio to California will be boarding in 10 minutes at Gate B7." The voice over the intercom states. "Well that's us." I grab Darcy's hand and pull her toward Gate B7.
