Klarissa

Working at a gas station is easy, a little too easy if you ask me. I'm constantly moving around and cleaning, stocking, ringing up customers but it's all easy.
The speedway on east side state street is always busy, we rarely have an empty shop.

We see different types of people every single day. All of different backgrounds, races, height and age. I think that's my favorite part of working there.
Sure we have regulars who come in all the time but, the majority is always new people.

I usually can't remember faces but there was one man, who stood out so much more from the rest. He and his friends, all came in on a Saturday morning in may, all wearing bandanas and leather jackets looking like a cliché biker gang. His curly brown hair pushed back by a blue bandana, his face red from the sun and wind.
I was sweeping when they came in, smiling and saying hello to each of them, but  my words got caught in my throat when he walked by.

He stared at me as his long legs carried him to the back of the store. I went back to cleaning and tried not to stare too much.
He was just so damn fine.
But every time I'd look up, trying to catch another glimpse of him, he'd still be looking at me. Eventually I got a bit uncomfortable and went to stand behind the counter with my coworkers, Crystal and Janice.
As soon as I walk up Janice is giving me a look.

"What?" I question her, a smile slowly spreading across my face.

"I think Mr. Biker guy has a little thing for you." She whispers, lightly bumping my shoulder with hers. I just shake my head and laugh.

"Girl, you got a fat ass and your pretty. Not to mention your hair is gorgeous. He definitely was checking you out." Crystal joins in, I feel my face get hot as the two older women pester me about the man.

As they make jokes and continue to tease me, the group of guys walk up to the counter.
Janice rings them up on her side while I sit at the other register. I look at the group and notice he wasn't with them. I slowly look around the store until I hear someone clear their throat behind me.

"Hi, can I get a pack of Marlboro red one hundreds." He smirks at me, I nod and grab a pack off the shelf before scanning his drink.

"Your total is, eight dollars and forty five cents." I say, trying my best not to stare at his eyes. They were a bright green, and I had the hardest time looking away.
He pulls his wallet out and hands me a ten. I give him his change and expect him to be on his way, but instead he just stands there.

"Is there anything else I can help you with?" I offer, he goes to say something then pauses.
After staying silent for a moment he finally speaks.

"Actually, yes. I was wondering what time you got off, if you don't mind me asking Miss Klarissa." He says reading my name tag.
I was in shock at first, that someone this fine was actually tryna holla at me. But before I could even answer, crystal was behind me answering his question.

"She gets off at two!" She squeals excited.
I nod and he smiles.

"Well, would you like to maybe go for a bike ride, after you get off? I'm harry by the way." He reaches his hand out and I shake it.

"I've never ridden on a motorcycle before." I mumble. Staring at his lips as he licks them.

"She'll go, just make sure you're here at two." Crystal speaks up again. I whip my head around and look at her. A mischievous smile laid across her face.

"Good, I'll be back at two then." Harry nods, pulling his shades down, grabbing his cigarettes and drink and walks out of the gas station. I turn around and look at Crystal. Janice finally ringing up the last guy from the group, she turns and looks at me.

"Holy shit." I say, truly shocked at what happened.
Crystal let's out another squeal and starts hugging me. I stand there with my arms straight down and she wraps her short body around me.

"I told you!" Janice laughs, doing a small happy dance.

"I mean he's super hot and all but what if he tries to kill me. Takes me somewhere deep in the woods where no one can hear my screams a-"

"Please relax, you got one hour left of work and I promise you this guy won't kill you. You're nineteen and never had a boyfriend before! You gotta start opening up a little." Crystal says, finally letting go of me.
She's right, I've been alive for nineteen years and just had my first kiss this winter.
I just was never the girl guys wanted, so when someone like harry talks to me, I can't help but feel it's a trap.
For the next hour I clean and stock as I usually do, but this time I'm in more of a hurry, wanting to make sure everything is done. Just Incase Harry actually comes back.

I had a feeling he wasn't going to but to my surprise at 1:59pm he comes strolling into the gas station again. This time he has a helmet in one hand and a small leather jacket in the other.

"I brought you a helmet and jacket so you won't get too cold." He smiles, I feel my cheeks get hot and I thank him. Smiling as I slip the jacket on. It was a little big but was very nice none the less. I go to clock out and when I come back from the back room I see Harry talking to Janice and Crystal. I internally groan and walk over.

"Ready?" He asks me, slipping the helmet over my curls and strapping it under my chin. Offering his hand to me, I take it and nod. A smile stuck on my face. My cheeks actually start hurting because I can't stop.

I look back at Janice and Crystal as they silently cheer. Waving goodbye before sliding onto Harry's motorcycle.

As he starts it up I immediately wrap my arms around his stomach. My body pressed against his back. I can feel him laugh and he glances back at me.

"Hold on tight." He says and then takes off.
