CHAPTER 40: Test

"Everything ready?" Mommy assured us once again.

We nodded."Yes Mom,everything's settled." I answered and we ride the van we rented to go to airport.

We got our seats in the plane.

I seated in the middle side and beside the window.And I was shocked when I saw that Deinile seated beside me.

"Why are you here?! Where's Mommy and Riley?!" pabulong na tanong ko.

"Don't worry,nasa harap lang sila ng kaharap natin.Magkatabi sila." he answered while smiling.

He sighed."Why?" I asked.

"Nothing.I'm just a bit..." he trailed off and yawned."...sleepy." he continued and his eyes were closing.

"Yan kase eh.Ang agang sumusugod sa ibang bahay,hindi pa naman pala kumpleto ang tulog." pang-iinis ko.Bigla naman akong may naalala."Hoy,what I said to you in the text last night.Kapag dumating ka ng inaantok,babatukan kita!"

He just yawned again."Pero kanina pa ako dumating at  full sleep pa ako nun so ligtas ako sa pamamatok mo." he said."Wait lang,matutulog muna ako.I don't want to meet your father sleepy."

"Go on." sabi ko't ipinatong niya ang kanyang ulo sa aking balikat.

To be honest,halos kagabi ko pa pinipigilan ang mga luha ko.Thanks to Dei Dei,he keeps comforting me no matter what that's why I can prevent myself from crying and my asthma.I don't know if makakayanan ko pang pigilan ang mga luhang ito when I see my Dad's lying on a bed in a four-cornered white room powerless.

I remembered my childhood.My Daddy told me to be always positive like what Mom said.And he said that if you can't y take it anymore,find someoen who can cheer you up.The one that can make your problems go away.

[FLASHBACK]

Today is Riley's 12th birthday.

"Happy birthday to my dear princess!" Daddy greeted her after me and Mommy did and she thanked us all for that and we gave her a big hug.

"You're 12 years old now Riley,you should me more mattured." Mom said.

"Of course Mom." she answered.

"Oh come on,cut that.Let's go to Enchanted Kingdom." said Dad and we immediately got in his car.

"Daddy I want to sing there!" Riley said to Daddy while pointing the singing station where many people are watching.

"Okay okay.Come Zyrenne." Dad said and we took Riley at the station

I'm worried about her,her voice got broke and I know that she can't sing properly,what if people laugh at her?

"Zyrenne." Dad called my name.

I looked at him and saw he's staring at my eyes directly."I can see that you're worried about Riley.Wag kang mag-alala,she'll be okay.Kilala mo ang kapatid mo,she's trying and trying until she succeed.Just be positive." Dad made me comfort.

I watched Riley sing in the stage.Lahat ng mga tao ay nakatingin sa kanya.

Nagsimula na siyang kumanta.I can hear some failure in some of her lyrics because of her broken voice because of her cough and it causes plem.

But I stayed positive until the end of her song and people who are watching her clapped their hands and cheering my sister for her great voice.
