This is the first chapter that I'm working on, I'm posting this as not only a preview for the story which I will post after it's 100% complete, but as a look at my writing skills for my business. Keep in mind this story, along with this chapter, is not complete. So if there's any mistakes you've noticed feel free to let me know.

I slammed my hand on the off button to shut off that horrible beeping ripping me away from my dreams. I opened my tired eyes and squinted at the cause of the sound, my alarm clock. The face read 7:01am, signaling that I had let that monstrosity ring for a whole minute. Groaning I sat up and stretched, cringing at the sound of my bones cracking. As per my usual daily routine I looked around my room and thought about my surroundings, kind of a grounding exercise to wake my brain up a bit.

I noticed that my dark hardwood floor was a little messy, clothes and papers sprayed everywhere with the dust. After making a mental note to clean my room later I continued on to the furniture. My bed was in the farthest corner from my door. I have a fairly big room, due to the fact we make good money in our family so we can afford a nice house, so I can decorate my room how I please. My white desk is beside my bed, messy with papers, notebooks, binders, writing utensils and my computer spewed across its surface with my backpack laying underneath. Infront of that sat my chair. It was fairly nice, a gaming chair that reclines and had a heater on the lower back, along with a massager. I don't game much, I just find it's nice to sit in when I'm doing my work and after sitting in with my friends, I couldn't help myself. I used to have a regular spinning office chair, which constantly hurt my back. On the wall beside my dresser was a calendar and a white board. The calendar told me that it was the twenty seventh of march twenty seventeen and my work schedule. My white board displayed tiny notes to myself, such as the test I have on Friday in math. I moved on and looked at the foot of my bed towards my closet. It was slightly opened to reveal a peek at its contents. There wasn't much in there, just my sweaters, accessories, and some random crap in cute boxes. Right in front of my bed is a neglected overflowing hamper, which I really need to get caught up on. Next I looked in front of me, which stood my five drawer white dresser. On top there were some pictures of my friends and family. Beside my dresser was a white bookshelf, six shelves and is a little wider than the dresser, all filled with books that I've collected over the years. Looking next down at my double bed, with a white bed frame, a black and blue striped blanket, a black sheet, a black and a blue pillow. I looked back up and round again. The white furniture making my Egyptian blue walls more vibrant.

By now my eyes had adjusted to the harsh light coming from my window, my white lace curtains doing little to block the light as they were open to let a cool breeze into my room. Assuming I'm awake enough to get up without falling on my face, I stood up and walked towards my window that was just behind my desk. I closed it, figuring it wasn't the best to keep it open while away at school. Today seemed like a nice day out, sunny and slightly windy. The snow had melted for the most part, however there was still muddy slush everywhere. Wouldn't be long until there was more snow again however so might as well enjoy the sun while it lasts. Next I walked towards my dresser, stepping around the mess. I dug through my drawers, pulling out a long red sleeved shirt with a V neck that hugged my hourglass figure nicely with its soft cotton. Along with that I chose a simple pair of black jeans with a simple silver button. When I pulled out my underwear and socks I decided to grab a black belt with a silver skull buckle too.

Figuring that was enough I walked out my door. Looking out into the pale yellow hallway I can see my twin brothers room right across from mine. At the end of the hall to the right of my room was the bathroom, while to the left directly beside my room was my mother's room. Across from that was the spare room, and there was a staircase after that leading to the main floor of the house. I walked towards the bathroom, looking into the basic white room. It was just your usual bathroom, sink to the left of the door, toilet beside that, and shower and bath across from them both. Behind the door, to the right, was a closet with towels and a laundry hamper. I placed my clothes on the sink and started my shower, making sure it was warm. I then took off my purple fuzzy shorts and purple tank top, before throwing them in the hamper and hopping in the shower.
