There.

There I stood infront of the place that once was my sanctuary. A place I loved and felt save in. A place that was filled with happiness and joy, but that's all gone now. The atmosphere said it all...there was no happiness, no comfort or sercurity. Being back here was one of the worst desicions ever made.

I bent down and picked up the last box that was left from 'Marvin's Moving Truck'. Walking up the front porch I took a deep breath and entered this place I once called my home.Going up the stairs and down the hall to the last door on the right I entered my old orom which now, is mine again.

I started unpacking everything that was inside the box into it's corresponding place. As I finished placing the last item on top of my computer desk, I couldn't help but feel my heart clench in agony. It was a picture framed in a nice outting of cherry wood. In the frame was a perfect family portrait. It was my mother on the left, my father on the right, and I in the middle. I remembered like it was yesterday. We were at the park celebrating the 4 of July waiting for the fireworks to start. This was about 2 to 3 years ago. Our smiles were from ear to ear. We were once that happy, but now that was all over.

Tears started to whelm up at the rim of my honey brown eyes. Realization came over me and i tired to blink my tears back. Back so they won't ever come out again. Looking back at the picture I felt by body go weak and my heart feeling fragile. No! I thought, why am I acting like this? I'm stronger now, mentally and physically! I'm not that little girl I once was in that picture and it was all thanks t-

"Ella sweetie, are you done unpacking?" I heard someone say from behind me.

I quickly turned around sniffing but trying not to lose my guard I straighten my back.

"Don't you know how to knock?" I half yelled at my mother who was across my room leaning against the door frame. She had her arms crossed against her chest and looked extremely tired.

Sighing she closed her eyes "I'm um...done unpacking with everything so no worries with offering help" she said making it sound sarcastic.

"I was unpacking my boxes!" I snapped, gesteruring towards the empty boxes that were on the right side of the room.

My mother opened her eyes, a bit taken back from my mini outburst. "I-I wasn't even-" she sighed, closing her eyes but opening them again "Listen, I called Lilncon High and you start school tomorrow, luckliy they still had your recoreds from your freshman year so you don't have to get left back a grade. So tomorrow you're going to start your senior year"

My heart stopped at the mention of Lilncon High, my old school. Did she say L-Lilncon High? That was the plast place I want to go to.That's were all my old friends are. And I can't imagine all the hurt I caused them, I can't confront them, I reallly can't. Honsetly I thought moving back here was going to be tough but it's going to be tougher once I start school tomorrow.

"Whatever" I said while crossing my hands over my chest and looking away.

My mother looked at my sternly. She backed away from my door while shaking her head. She started to walk away but stopped and shook her head, looking at me with disbelief. "Can't you just be happy? Grateful as a matter of fact? Huh?"

"No! I hate this place and I never wanted to come back here in the first place!" I said.

"That's not what you said before we left here" My mother yelled at me.

"That was 3 and a half years ago!" I snapped angrily at her.

"Ella at least your safe now!" my mother yelled. I can see she was getting frustrated.

I rolled my eyes and scoffed "For now.." I looked at my mother to see shock run through her.

"W-What? What happened to my sweet, caring, loving-daughter Ella?" my mother said, her voice cracking at loving daughter. Tears ere starting to whelm up in her eyes.

"She"s gone." I said forcing it to sound rude and cold. In reality I wanted to run in my mothers arms, hug her tightly and tell her that her sweet loving daughter is still here. But we all know that I couldn't do that...not a chance.

She was taken back by my abrupt answer. I swored I saw a couple tears run down her cheeks but before I knew it, her back was towards me and she walked away. I ran towards my bedroom door closing it and locking it in the process. I leaned my back against the door and let out a shakey sigh. Tears whelmed up at the rim of my eyes again and I tried to blink them back, but failed miserably. I slid down onto the floor biting my lip to stop myself from shaking.

I swear, the worst feeling in the world is making your mother cry.
