Chapter 22- Announcements

Calum's P.O.V:

When I woke up I was still on the beach, the sound of the waves hitting the shore almost lulling me back to sleep. It looked to be sunrise which means it was probably around 6 so I sat up groggily, looking out at the sun that looked to be peeking out from behind the ocean.

It was a beautiful sight but what caught my eye was two figures sitting down lower on the beach, just out of reach of the water as they looked out at the sunset with their arms around each other. I looked beside me, only seeing Michael sleeping peacefully and Kat sat up right next to me, looking at the two, which I now know are Luke and Ash, with a smile on her face.

'I wish they would just tell us already' she signed, looking at me with sleepy eyes.

"Me too. Did you get any sleep last night?" I asked and she bit her lip, looking down and shaking her head. I sighed, shaking my head as well in disapproval before I wrapped an arm around her shoulders, pulling her into me so her head rested on my shoulder, just like Ash and Luke.

Kat snapped a picture of them with her phone, smiling widely at them. I smiled as well, leaving a kiss on the top of her head and seeing her blush lightly.

We were now all in the car with Kat driving and Ash in the passenger seat, weirdly enough. I was in the middle, Luke was on my right so he was behind Ash, and Michael was on my left, behind Kat.

Ash sighed, leaning forward and turning on the radio. A song had just ended and Dear Maria Count Me In by All Time Low started playing.

"I GOT YOU'RE PICTURE, IM COMING WITH YOU, DEAR MARIA COUNT ME IN!!!" Michael belted out the first lyric.

"THERE'S A STORY AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS BOTTLE AND IM THE PEN" I finished it for him and we laughed.

"When the lights go up I wanna watch the way you take the stage by storm" Ash sing the next part, smiling widely.

"The way you wrap those boys around your finger, go on and play the leader" Luke sung the next part and all of us had goofy smiles on our faces.

"'Cause you know it's what you're good at, the low road for the fast track, make every second last" Michael sung once again.

"'Cause I got your picture, I'm coming with you, Dear Maria, count me in, there's a story at the bottom of this bottle and I'm the pen" all of us belted out together. By the time the song was over, all of us were laughing, including Kat.

"That was awesome! I didn't know you were an All Time Low fan Calum!!" Michael said excitedly and I scoffed.

"Duh! They're awesome!!" I said and they all laughed once again.

"You definitely belong to our group of friends" Luke laughed and I chuckled. We all made small talk for the rest of the ride before Kat pulled up to a fairly sized cafe.

We looked at her weirdly and she shrugged, signing to me.

'its a cool place. I've been here before' she signed and I translated for her.

"When did you come all the way out here?" Ash asked and I waited for her to sign an answer but she didn't, just getting out of the car. We reluctantly followed her, walking into the mostly empty cafe. (Picture above)

It wasn't even close to what I expected, but not in a bad way. I actually kind of liked it. It was tables and chairs mostly on the bottom floor, as well as the cashier and a cool looking tree that branched out in the corner. Upstairs, there was a few comfy couched and a bookshelf that was filled with all different books and board games.
