I felt all of our hearts stop simultaneously.

There, in my little brothers hands, was a shining piece of paper.

No one said a word, no one dared.

He found the last golden ticket.

Charlie looked up at me.

I saw the smile plastered on his face.

I smiled back, raising my eyebrows.

"It's..."

Grandpa Joe started.

-..the last golden ticket."

I finished for him.

He looked at me.

Only he knows how much this truly means to me.

He shot out of his bed and started dancing like a maniac.

"Read it!!"

No one moved.

"Read it!!!!"

Dad took the letter from Charlie.

I didn't pay much attention to what it said, all I could think about was Willy.

His sparkling blue eyes.

His gentle but slightly menacing smile.

His smooth, pale skin.

His soft hands.

His-

"1st of February... that's tomorrow!"

Mum exclaimed.

"Well there's not a moment to lose! Scrub your teeth, comb your hair, wash your face..-"

"-and get that mud off you pants!"

Grandpa George pointed out.

I looked over to Charlie who's face seemed to drop.

"We're not going."

He said in a small voice.

"What?"

Grandpa Joe asked, confused.

"A lady at the shop offered me £500 for the ticket, I bet someone would offer even more."

His expression saddened at every word.

I heard Grandpa Joe slump on the bed.

"Young man, come here."

Grandpa George beckoned Charlie over.

He started talking about how money was so common, but there was only five golden tickets in the whole world.

"Only a dummy would give this up for something as common as money."

He looked at Charlie.

"Are you a dummy?"

"No sir."

He replied.

"Then get that mud off you pants! You've got a factory to go to!"

Charlie smiled.

"Now, we have to decide who's going with Charlie.."

Mum started.

"-I will!"

Grandpa Joe jumped at the opportunity.

Mum didn't look too impressed.

"How about you dear.."
