"(Y/N)!!! You have to be quicker than that!!!"

"Attack again!"

"Alright alright!!!"

. . . .

"Not fast enough! Again!"

(Y/N) suppressed a heavy sigh as she raised the knife above her head again for about the hundredth time and narrowed her eyes as she looked across the room to Ticci-Toby, who awaited for her to attack with one of his hatchets clutched tightly in his hands.

Training with the Proxies did not turn out to be as straightforward as she would've liked. Her confidence in herself was slowly beginning to fade again.

Every move she made was wrong. She couldn't attack fast enough, she couldn't run quick enough, she wasn't stealthy enough, nothing she did was right. It was as if her fight with Jack and Jeff the day before never happened.

(Y/N) wanted badly to prove herself to Slenderman, the Proxies, and the other killers, so she kept on pushing herself, not wanting to give up. But she was beginning to grow weary as they kept on making her repeat certain things and they weren't satisfied until she got it perfectly.

"You can do it (Y/N)! Just tr-try and get me again...!" Ticci-Toby yelled, waving his hand out to her supportingly.

"At least Toby isn't as strict about it like the other two," (Y/n) thought to herself as she prepared herself to run at him. She waited a few long seconds before suddenly dashing from her spot and towards Toby at full speed, her knife raised. Toby smirked behind his mask, waiting for her to get close enough before quickly darting to the side, allowing her to miss striking at him and she ran straight into a wall without being able to skid to a halt. He then turned around and lodged his hatchet right into the wall near her head, making her jump in shock. He snickered, shaking his head, then scoffed near her ear, "You're never gonna stop f-falling for that move, are ya?"

(Y/N) flinched and mumbled, "I don't know why I keep..." She then stopped, looking angrily to the hatchet near her face then down at the ground. "...sorry."

"Sorry won't work here. You'll just have to keep redoing over and over until you get it right," Masky's said, shaking his head, "unlike here, out on a mission, there are no do-overs."

"I understand that much. I'll just try again," (Y/N) growled, pushing herself from the wall and walking back to her spot across the room beside Hoodie. "Heyy uh M-Masky? You th-think we're pushing 'er too hard? I mean, she's j-just a newbie," Toby mumbled, swinging his weapon around lazily in his hand. "All the better to teach her all we can now, while she's still new," Masky replied, moving aside for (Y/N) to take her place next to Hoodie.

(Y/N) took a deep breath and wiped sweat from her forehead before raising her knife again and focusing concentrated eyes on Toby. "Give it all you've got, run as fast as you can, be ready for him to dodge your attack, turn just before you hit the wall and strike him," Hoodie murmured and she nodded obediently, waiting for the right moment to go.

Ready....

Two...

Three!

(Y/N) sped towards Toby as fast as she could, letting Hoodie's words replay in her head. Like before, as soon as (Y/N) came close enough, Toby moved aside and raised his hatchet to smash it near her head, but (Y/N) was ready. Just before she hit the wall, she ducked and turned, dodging Toby's hatchet and lunged at him, raising the knife and stabbing it into his shoulder.

Feeling the puncture of the knife gorge into Toby's arm, (Y/N) quickly let go of the weapon and stumbled back, staring at Toby with wide eyes where he clutched the knife in his hand. "Toby! Sorry, I-I didn't mean to actually stab you, it was..."

Her voice trailed off when she heard him beginning to laugh, shaking his head and pulling the knife out of his shoulder, blood spraying from out the wound.

"...an accident...?"

"Don't worry about it-t (Y/N), I felt nothin," he said, smiling as if he didn't just have a sharp edged weapon lodged in his arm, "I can't feel pain. And anyhow, y-your attack was really good, you really caught me off guard there."

"Oh..." (Y/N) mumbled, rubbing her shoulder, "Thanks I guess...?"

"Toby, just because you can't feel pain doesn't mean you should allow yourself to get hurt like that. You could've at least blocked the weapon before it hit you," Masky sighed, walking over to Toby and checking his shoulder. "I'm fineeeeeeeee, geez..." Toby groaned, trying to shove Masky away, but he didn't move a bit.

"Good job (Y/N), you finally got him. All you needed was a few times to get it down," Hoodie praised (Y/N) when she walked back over to him. "A few times? That felt like ten thousand," she chuckled with a sigh, taking her place beside Hoodie. "Hey, you look like you need a break. You can take a seat in here somewhere and rest for a bit while me and Masky take Toby to Nurse Ann to see about his shoulder."

"Nurse-Ann? Whose that?"

"She's like our healer, you could say. She's the one helping us killers out whenever we get hurt or something."

" I see, " (Y/N) responded, thinking back to the picture in her room. She remembered seeing a lady in the photo with brown hair that looked to be a nurse. "Maybe you could come with us to meet her, you know, so she wouldn't attempt killing you if she sees you later on," Hoodie suggested, and (Y/N) nodded her head in agreement. She didn't want to risk running into another incident like with The Puppeteer and Zero.

"Come on Hoodie, let's get Toby taken care of," Masky called out as he headed out of the room with Toby at his side. "Really, I'm fine, it's n-not a big deal..." Toby growled, shaking his head as he unwillingly followed Masky. "Let's go (Y/N)," Hoodie said, motioning for her to follow. (Y/N) nodded and quickly followed the proxies upstairs.
