His Father is the devil's assistant, and he didn't know until years later while he was doing research on the devil himself. Pitchy was given an assignment to transfer a lost Demon soul into a human host to see if the host is able to turn into a demon or not. He thought this may work with his Wife Dawn since her Body is more suitable than a child's. Pitchy attempted to take her soul out from her body, but failed causing her to be in a coma. The demon soul was slowly starting to fade away as Pitchy started to panic. Rex had witnessed what happened and Pitchy had seen him hiding behind the curtains, shaking like a small child. So he thought that he would transfer the soul into Rex and hope that it'll work. He grabbed Rex and attempted to take his soul from him. But only taking about half of it out since he didn't want to lose the demon soul. Which caused Rex's soul and the stranded Demon Soul to fuse together. Pitchy wasn't too happy with the fact that he half-assed his job so he started to abuse Rex for 8 years, (He was 10 at the time). He couldn't control the demon at times and when he knew it was coming he would tie himself up. He never made any friends since he was too scared that he'll lose them or they'll run away from the fact that he's part demon. His body, and hair grew faster because of the demon soul. Soon he found out that the Snake tattoo that appeared on him when he was 10 is linked to the demon.
