Chapter 15

Previously on Roman the Arrogant...

Roman sat in front of his computer and opened the email. "It's from Alpha Leo." Roman stated. We read the email and it was clear that Alpha Leo had someone he thought we'd like to talk to.

At Elko Territory

I grabbed on to Roman hand and squeezed it tightly. "No need to worry these are old friends of mine." Roman reassured. "Max, Tyson, long time no see." Roman smiled. "Please follow us, Alpha Leo is waiting." Max said.

"This here is Charlotte, the one I was referring to in the email. I will give you my office while you two ask your questions." Leo said as he exited his office.

I held up a still from the security footage on my phone. "Is this you?" I asked. "Yes, but..." Roman wrapped his hand around her throat and slammed her against the wall. "Why the hell are you doing this?!" Roman yelled. She coughed a bit before speaking, "Someone told me to do it. A woman wearing a hood and glasses paid me a thousand dollars to wear that ugly wig in that store."

"What now?" I asked Roman. "We should probably head home before the snowfall gets too heavy." Large amounts of snow rapidly collected on the ground. "Shit I'm going to call Emilio and tell him our trip has been extended." Roman sighed.

Charlotte's House

"Oh my God. Charlotte stay with me. I'm going to get help." I said getting up from her side. I grabbed the handle of the dagger and tried to pull it out. "Fucking hell." I quickly pulled my hand away. "Wolf's bane not good."

"See..." Charlotte kept whispering that one word.

"Bella! Baby wake up...Bella. Oh thank God you're okay." Roman said holding my head to his chest. "What happened?" I asked rubbing my head. "We found you lying on the floor in Charlotte's cabin covered in blood."

"It was a blonde woman." I stated "Okay. She must have taken the dagger with her after she knocked you out." He finished.

Pack House

"Find anything?" Roman asked Emilio. "Yeah." He said holding up three listening devices. "Found these suckers in your bedroom, living room, and kitchen. They're off now, we're good." Emilio continued. "I want you to take those down to the sheriff's office when Amadeus gets in. Have him run a diagnostic on them to see if we can get a trace on the receiving end." Roman ordered.

Now...

"Where the hell is Emilio? He should have been here two hours ago!" Roman exclaimed as a vein popped out of his forehead.

"Let me call him hold on." I said rolling my eyes. I pulled my phone from my back pocket and called Emilio before putting it on speaker.

He picked up after three rings. "What up boss lady?"

"Where the hell are you?!" Roman yelled.

"Bella did your voice get deeper?" He chuckled.

"Seriously Emilio? Just get to the pack house before Roman pops a blood vessel." I said hanging up.

Not even two seconds went by when Emilio strolled in the front door without a care in the world.

"I'd wipe that smug look off my face if I were you." I said smirking at Emilio.

"Why..." He started as he saw the enraged look on Roman's face.

His hands shot up defensively as backed his way to the front door. "Chill man, nothing came back on the bugs anyways. So I thought I'd check up on Cece."
