Katyusha woke up due to the mysterious noise which she decided to inspect it by going to her balcony. Below her she saw a banner as she went closer to see the figure clearly, she saw two soldiers in full armor, one was holding the banner, the other has nothing in hand and between them was a man in fancy clothing which was carrying a scroll. Katyusha went closer to the edge to get a proper peek below only to see her parents and the messenger which seemed to have a serious conversation on an important matters. "Lady Katyusha, What are you doing here?" a sudden familiar voice startled Katyusha, it was Marie carrying her breakfast on a tray. "It's bot good to mingle on someone else's business, lady Katyusha." Marie scolded her as she placed the tray on her table, it seemed that Marie caught her peeking on the conversation of her parents. "w-well t-this i-is.." Katyusha stuttered as she looked down while she sat on the chair. "well never-mind that, your breakfast are already prepared, Lady Katyusha." Marie said as she patted the head of Katyusha.
Katyusha looked at the contents of the tray which was some Sunny-side-up paired with sausage with orange juice as a beverage, She smiled as she thanked Marie while she was starting to consume her breakfast that was prepared for her.
Meanwhile on the border of Avardia Empire, Silverden's advance militarization of its Empire alarmed the nearby Empires for it may pose a threat to its neighboring countries. Avardian Patrols were doing their duty into patrolling their boreders, but they were shocked by one thing, Silverden troops are setting their camps near the border, they were alarmed for a possibility of an invasion. A messenger was sent to the emperor regarding to this matter, reporting the possibility of an invasion by the rising Empire.
After a few days the message was relayed to the emperor which made him order his generals to gather men from all over the lands within the Empire's reach in order for them to defend their land from the invaders and one of the participants within the nobles was Lord Christopher John Fredrickson of Arkea, Katyusha's father. He isn't just any ordinary nobleman, he is a great noble and a great captain that's why everyone loves and knows him from all over the Empire. Christopher may be a respectful man but it's fame was like a double edged sword, he may have been well known and respected but there are still individuals that despised him.
As they went on the march towards the border, there was a chatter from Duke Claudius' forces and they talked about Christopher, they planned on murdering him while no one's looking but their chat was interrupted when the marching stopped, they saw the aftermath of the battle and the first mark of Silverden's invasion, they went closer to inspect the area for survivors, they saw the bloodshed, their brothers laying lifeless on the cold ground as it was painted by their own blood, weapons, burned banners and carriages was scattered throughout the battlefield, this very sight made the whole army of duke Claudius to tremble in fear. Roderick Claudius son of the duke shouted to his men that they should remain calm. With the Avardian soldiers into distress, the Silverden's scouts went back to their camp and reported on what they've observed from the enemy's Army.
Back at the Fredrickson's estate where Katyusha lives...
-flashback-
After the messenger and her parents had a conversation, The three mysterious people left the place and into the town. Katyusha saw Maria which was in tears as she hugged Christopher she was patted on the back by him as if he was trying to calm her down. Katyusha wanted to go outside, together with her parents but she was stopped by Marie by grabbing her wrist. She was left in the room alone but when she tried to open the door, it may have seem that it was locked from the outside so she just waited until the door will be opened by sitting near it.
it was mid afternoon and Katyusha was still waiting and when Marie opened the door, she rushed out to find her father but he wasn't in the house she found Maria but she told her that her father is already leaving. This made Katyusha run towards the Estate's gates where she found her father, she shouted on top of her lungs to call her father. Christopher stopped and looked back, he saw his daughter running towards him, he knelt down with his arms open to embrace his daughter, giving her a big hug. "where are you going? why do you have to leave? will you be back?" those were the questions Katyusha asked while she was crying. but her father placed her on the floor as he patted her head and replied "I will be going somewhere and Don't worry I will be back before you know it." He then smiled as he waved goodbye to his daughter while leaving the Estate on the other hand Katyusha walked back to the house with tears on her eyes.
-End of flashback-
..Maria was currently doing her hobby and Katyusha was playing on her mother's garden as usual. Katyusha ran around but only to stop in-front of her mother only to stare at her, Marie looked back and asked "What is it?" with a smile, she continued into cutting the weeds on the hedge. "nothing mother, it's just that something is bothering me." Katyusha said while she held her hands behind her. "whats bothering my sweet little daughter?" her mother asked as she stopped trimming the hedge and looked at her daughter. "well...do you know where will father go?" Katyusha asked while looking st her mother's face.
Marie stared at her precious daughter as she touched her soft cheeks with a worried look on her face and replied "your father has something to do somewhere which is far and he wouldn't return for now."
