I heard footsteps and my head perked up. Was it clay? I hope it is clay. I saw a flash of golden scales.

"Oh hi Sunny." I sighed as I put my head back down on my feet.

"What's wrong Peril?" Sunny questioned

"Nothing."

"Ok then Clay wanted to see you he is in the underground lake by the strange rock formation."

"Why didn't he come here himself then?"

She shrugged then walked out of my cave into her own. She then sat down to grade papers.

Why the underground lake? I walked downstairs avoided a few students and kept walking. I finally reached the lake. I saw clay was he wearing a grass tie? He was! How cute! I squealed on the inside.

"Oh uh hey Peril uhhhh sup?"

I smiled at him was he trying to be cool! 

"Hey Clay!" Did that sound to excited? What if I scared him?

"I like your tie Clay."I grinned at him

"Thanks! Glory made it for me did you know she could weave? She made sunny a little bow!"

I felt a pang of jealousy from clay mentioning Glory and Sunny. I reassured myself by a memory of a rainforest party held in a cave. It was Glory dancing with deathbringer and sunny talking to a sand wing.

"I love it."

Clay laughed nervously. He fumbled with a little box in his hand

"Igotyousomethinghere."

I blinked "What?"

He took a deep breath " I got you something. Here." He gave me the little stone box inside was a little dragon figure. 

"I wanted to get you something And I knew you couldn't melt that material." He smiled again

"Oh it's beautiful! I love it Clay! Thank you! Why did you get it for me?"

"Well today is the anaversory of the day we met." 

I hugged him. Then the grass tie burst into flames. Clay jumped and fell in the lake. He resurfaced and burst out laughing then I started laughing. Soon we were just laughing and laughing and laughing.
