The night was great, no thoughts of danger, no worries, no "what ifs". Just plain fun.

My bro and I were messing around in the bathroom having a great time, making jokes and being stupid, laughing so much that I start to go into a coughing fit, still laughing as I was dying. Even after we calmed down, it started right back up again, but it's all fun and games till something gets broken, and something did, the sink drain broke, and we take a deep breath before yelling in unison, "DAAAAAAD! COME HEEEERRRREEE, WEEE NEED YOOOOUUUU!"

Our dad, out in the living room, responds back with suspicion, "Why?" He asks back in a more appropriate level of voice for the distance we were at, seeing as the living room was just a room over.

I respond back, matching his level, not coming out of the bathroom, "Uh, the drain kind of broke..."

"What?" He asks, confusion laced in his voice

I grabbed the lever for the drain and brought it out to show him, rubbing the back of my neck I tell him what happened, "Yeah.. this kind of broke off and we can't screw it back in." I sheepishly say, laughing a bit to myself.

He sighs, "Alright, let me have a look at it," he responds, getting up from the couch to head into the restroom, Quickly fixes the damage that we had done while bro and I messed around in the dry tub, we continued with our shenanigans until our dad comes back.

"Alright guys, it's time for bed" He says yawning.

"We got it dad!" bro and I chorused, I give a lazy salute while they give finger guns before finishing up what we were supposed to be doing that whole time, brushing our teeth.

Soon enough, we start to go our separate ways into our rooms, but not before goodnight hugs, I go to our parent's bedroom to hug them goodnight before turning back to my bro and give him a hearty hug, we laughed a bit and said our good nights to each other, then went into our different rooms with nothing but sleep on our minds.

As I shut the door to my room, I quickly noticed the exhaustion that had washed over me, leaving me longing for my bed and sleeping, much stronger than the urge to play on my phone. I was barely able to remember to charge my phone before I turn off my lamp, I was almost surprised. But that quickly left my thoughts as I slid under my blankets and fell asleep instantly.
