It was finally time for the Running events to begin.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Individual Track Events (Running): There were two races in this event: 100 m and 200 m sprints. In this event, participants have to run both distances and add the times together. The faster the combined time, the more likely they will be to score points. Participants would be set off in heats on either side of the track, one being the blue side and one being the red side.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Jack parted ways with them to go to his side while Oliver, Sam, and Honey stayed with the red team, wishing him luck as he walked away.

Sam once again was called to go first between Oliver and Honey.

"G'luck Sam," said Oliver holding out his fist.

"Thanks man," she responded, bumping his fist back.

She walked over to her assigned lane and squatted into a comfortable starting position, waiting patiently for the gunshot to begin the race.

Once the gun went off with a loud crack, Sam exploded forward. However, the second her back foot came around to the front, she knew something was wrong. Her ankle tweaked sideways as she put weight on it, resulting in a small pop that caused her to wince in pain. She knew she had to keep going to get points for the team, so she suppressed the pain and finished her run.

When she crossed the finish line, she could feel her ankle throbbing.

It's okay, it'll go away. It was just a small tweak, she thought.

Sam glanced over at Oliver to see if he had noticed her small stumble and found him with his attention locked onto Honey

"Phew," she sighed in relief.

I don't think he saw that.

She did everything she could to hide the pain as she walked over to Oliver and Honey.

After a while, Oliver and Honey ran their 100 m races. Sam noticed how quick Oliver was despite him being a jumper, definitely from being on a track team for most of his life, she thought. On the other hand, Honey wasn't that fast, but she seemed like she was having fun. Though, a little bit of envy hovered over Sam as she saw Honey's boobs bounce as she ran.

Sam crunched her crossed arms up against her chest, feeling the extra flatness thanks to her binder. She sighed and thought, Don't get mad Sam, you know this is for the best.

Sam had been standing with all the weight in her left leg to avoid the pain in her right foot. Her breathing was scattered due to enduring the waves of throbs that came and went.

Once Oliver and Honey returned from finishing their race, Oliver stopped in front of Sam and looked her up and down.

"Are you hot Sam?" he asked

"What? Why?"

"I dunno. You're just sweating a lot."

As he said that, a stream of sweat glided down her cheek. She wiped her forehead and realized that holding her breath during the waves of pain was making her sweat way more than usual.

"Oh yeah, don't worry I'm just really hot right now," she said trying to laugh it off as a joke.

"Well, just make sure you keep drinking water so you don't pass out. We need you for that relay tonight."

"Don't worry, we got this."

The event slid right into the next race, the 200 m. As the announcer called forward Sam's heat, she told Oliver and Honey that she would be back soon after her race. They wished her luck as she began to head over to the starting point.
