Three New Best Friends

Hailey’s P.O.V

 

     The bell signalling class ended rang. I grabbed my books and headed towards my next class. Which was just my luck, Biology. Yay! So fun! Can’t wait! Note the sarcasm. I got lost halfway while looking for my Biology class. And I was already late so I skipped it and walked to library which I somehow stumbled upon. It was not a first great impression but I could care less.

 

      I picked up a book which said something about the histories and myths about vampires. I managed to find a nice spot in the library. There was a green leather sofa near a window. It was perfect. I started reading the book and a few minutes later, I couldn’t hold in my laughter at some of the fake things humans make up in the book. Seriously? Vampires cannot walk in sunlight? Pssh. Only purebloods like me can,like me being the only vampire that doesn’t have fangs.

      

     Unknowingly, I fell asleep reading. Only when the bell rung for lunch did I wake up and walk to the cafeteria. I had no friends so I decided to grab my lunch and sit alone. Three girls walked to my table and said,”Hi! We haven’t seen you before. Are you new?””Yeah.Today’s my first day,” I mumbled feeling a bit shy. “We are totally gonna be best friends!” the red-head exclaimed. So….cliché.

        

     “My name is Julie. The girl with black hair is Tasha and the blonde girl here is Katy,” Julie said. “Oh,hi.My name is Hailey Summers. You can call me Hails.” Just then, Katy did a high-pitched scream that lead me to cover my ears with both my hands. “Katy! Can you not? I’m half deaf ‘cuz of you.I swear one day I’m gonna cut that mouth of yours to prevent you from ever screaming again,”Tasha said.”B-b-b-but it’s Alex! That yummy piece of choco-””Okay,okay.We don’t need details or whatever,” I retorted.

 

     Just then, Alex spotted me and started walking to me. Oh damn.

Alexander’s P.O.V

 

     After French lessons, I started to look for Hailey. But I couldn’t find her so I just went to my art class. Come lunch time, I was a little late as I wanted to perfect my art piece. What can I say? I’m a perfectionist. I walked into the cafeteria when I heard the same high-pitched scream I have been hearing every time I walk into the cafeteria.But it was followed by a witty retort. That’s new.

     I turned and see Katy and her friends with Hailey. That caught me by surprise.I walked towards Hailey and said,”Hi Hailey.” She mumbled a ‘Hi’ and turned away from me. She even had a little blush to her cheeks. ‘Damn that’s cute. Katy was looking at Hailey in shock and a little jealousy? Well, I don’t blame her. If it were me I would feel that way too. I mean you have a open crush on this guy but he notices someone else and doesn’t really care about you. That would hurt.

 

     “Well,Alex.How nice to meet you?”Julie said with sarcasm dripping out. What did I ever do to her? But I just replied her politely,”Nice to meet you too.” That’s when Hailey spoke up,”What do you want?” “To become friends with you!”I said cheerily. “Okay?” Hailey replied uncertain.

 

     “Alex!Come on!The food I saved for you is getting cold!” my best friend, Jace shouted.”I’m coming!””See ya,Hailey!”And I walked away from her to my ‘getting cold’ food as Jace said.
