I look out the window at the ocean. My mom never let me go in the sea. The only time I can get wet is when I take a bath, brushing my teeth or washing my hands, other than that nothing else.
"Hailey!" My mom calls to me, "time to go to school!"
"Coming!" I call back.
I walk away from the window, go to my closet, pick out my clothes, change, put on my shoes, grav my backpack, and head down stairs.
"Bye sweetie," my mom says and gives a kiss on the top of my head, "be good!"
I run out the door and run down to the bus. I take a seat next to my best friend Ellie.
"There you are!" Ellie says and gives me a hug.
"Are we still going to the beach after school?" I ask putting my backpack at my feet.
"Duh!" Ellie exclaims "why wouldn't we?"
"Maybe because my mom would never let me," I reply as if she should know this by now.
"That's true," Ellie says "I don't get why though."
"Because she's over protective," I say, she really is though I don't get why but that's her.

We get to school and get off the bus. I read the sign above it like always. Shore Shell Middle School.
I head inside with Ellie. I hear Principle Sanders over the speaker.
"Here at Shore Shell Middle School we do not bully." I wish that was true. I get bullied every day for no reason! I've always been an outcast. But that doesn't change me. I have other things to worry about, like tests, friendship problems, etc.
"We have fun," Principle Sanders continues "we are amazing students, we are all going to have amazing futures." That part is new. Amazing futures? You sure about that?
Me and Ellie walk to our lockers (which is right next to each other) and grab our note books for the classes before lunch. We head to first period, which is science. Right now we're learning about the marine life, it's really fun. In three weeks from now we're going on a field trip to the aquarium, the best part is that after we finish learning about the sea animals, we get to go swimming! In the pool there of course.
A few minutes after we get to class the bell rings.
"Good Morning students!" Mrs. Delliaour science teacher says, "as you know we will be going on a field trip in three weeks, so I need you to turn in your permission slips."
Some of my classmates get up and hand Mrs.Dellia their permission slips.
"Thank you," she says after they hand over the permission slips, "now, who can tell me what type of marine animal they like?" Is it just me or is she treating us like second graders?
I raise my hand and Mrs.Dellia nods to me. "My favorite marine life animal is a dolphin," I reply to jer question.
"I remember swimming with the dolphins," Mrs.Dellia sighs "but, that was in the past, next?"
I don't pay attention to anyone else, I wonder what it would be like to swim with the dolphins. It would be amazing! I can just imagine it, me in my bathing suit, with goggles on, actully swimming with the dolphins!
I'm interrupted by the bell when it rings. I pack up my things and head out the door.
"See you later?" Ellie asks as she we walk down the hall.
"Yeah," I respond "see you later."

After school I get on the bus, get off the bus, go up stairs, and get ready for the beach.
"Promise me you'll be careful," my mom says as I come down the stairs.
"I promise," I say annoyed. I don't get why she's being so protective, it's not like I'm going to drown!
"Bye mom!" I say as I head out the door down to the beach. Since I live in a beach house we live right in front of the beach.
"You came!" Ellie exclaims as I walk over to her.
"Obviously," I say "I've been begging my mom for two weeks!"
Ellie laughs. "I can see that."
We take off the clothes over our bathing suits and run to the water, we stop just at the edge.
"Ready?" Ellie asks smiling.
"You know it" I reply and we both run through the water.
I fall to the ground. I feel my legs go numb. What's going on?
"Hailey," Ellie says trying to run to me, "you ok?"
"Somethings going on with my legs!" I reply freaking out.
My legs start to join together. This feels so weird!
I gasp.
"Hailey..." Ellie says cautiously looking down at where my legs were suppose to be, "what are you?"
I look up at Ellie terrified.
