i walked into the house and set the pokè bowls down.

"marielle!" i yell.

no answer.

"i have food!" i yell and hear scrambling from upstairs.

i roll my eyes and take the bowls out of the bag.

she walks into the kitchen, a towel on her head and nails done.

a face mask is transparent on her face as well.

i laugh, "wow, looking good marielle."

she wiggles her eyebrows, "thanks."

she grabs a bowl and starts to eat it.

"so what happened with mr. drama besson?" she asks, rice and fish stuffed in her mouth.

"him and maya broke up," i say, "and he used me."

"wait, this is some serious drama. let me get my ice cream from the freezer and you can tell me the whole story," she says, getting up from the dining table and grabbing her 'triple chocolate dream' ice cream and 2 silver spoons.

i opened my bowl of poke and started shoveling it into my mouth spoon by spoon.

"woah... calm down sparky," she says, holding my hand down so i didn't choke on the food.

tears started streaming down my face. i didn't want to be corbyn's playgirl.

a loud knock is heard on the door.

"i'll get it," marielle says, going to get the door.

"marielle, i can't find azalea. she ran out of my house and i can't seem to find her anywhere," i hear from the door.

it's corbyn.

"we're sorry, ma'am," i hear another voice.

daniel.

i slowly get up, taking my poke bowl with me.

i poke my head out from the aisleway, seeing corbyn, daniel, and jonah at the door.

"azalea? what happened azalea?" corbyn asks, seeing my tear stained cheeks.

"we searched the whole town! even that new poke shop across town!" jonah breathes, hunched over, taking long gulps of air, as he was out of breath from running around town.

"i've been here," i shrung, eating my poke.

daniel looks at me with sympathetic eyes, signaling to corbyn.

corbyn sees and is just confused as fuck.

"do i have something to do with the reason that you ran out, azalea?" he asks.

i look down, "y-yes."

"can i come in?" he asks, barging inside not waiting to hear my answer.

i signal for jonah and daniel to come inside and they follow.
