Maddie's POV

Ring ring ring i wake up to hear my phone going off. I look at phone to see a pic of me and best friend Trey. I answer it

Roc: hey maddie wake up or we going to be late to school.

Maddie: o plz shutup roc I'm was already up

Roc: girl bye i know you just woke up I'm not stupid we've been friends ever since we were 5!

Maddie: aren't fine I'm getting up. Then you hang up the phone.

I start getting dress putting on My jeans and a sweatshirt knowing it was cold out and put on your lebrons. I look at your necklace that Roc Royal gave me for Christmas i were it everyday since than and i didn't know why. I grap my basketball bag with my dance and cello stuff also in it. I look in your brothers room Tyrone to find that he was still sleep. I woke him up and tell him to start getting up. He wakes up with know questions. I godown stairs to find my dad laying on the couch knock out. I wake him up to tell him that your going to pick up Roc, Nia, Taylor, Mya, and Jacob. Forgetting about Ray. You go to pick them up and you say off to school when Roc says "what about ray"

I replied Ray got a car know remember!

I drive to school to see a girl I can't stand. Sierra. Sierra see's me and starts walking over to me but get knocked over by a new kid.

O I'm sorry the boy says

Sierra pushes him and says hey watch we're your going. I look at my friends and we quickly go to the boy on the ground. Hi I'm maddie I said.

He looks at you then says hi I'm EJ.

Yea we all have class there. I introduce my friends. This is Ray Ray, Roc Royal, Jacob, Nia, Taylor and Mya.

You all walk to class together getting to know the new kid. He moved from Tampa Florida to Maryland because of his dad's job. He lives with his family mom dad and a sister. Lucky him you thought. I live with my dad and brother and have never seen my mom. Roc lives with his mom and sister but his dad died. Ray lives with his mom and 2 brothers and a sister Nia lives with her mom brother and sister and her unborned baby brother. Mya land Taylor live with there mom and dad. But Jacob on the other had lives with his aunt and uncle because his parents died. As you guys walk into mr.freeman's room for Spanish i see Sierra walk my way. She knocks my books down then give me the evil eye😑. I stopped Nia knowing she was going to strike. Ej grapped your book and gave them to me.

Thanks you. You should sit near us i said.

He just smiled and sat next to me while trying to get to know everybody else. I thought to myself I hope Roc won't be mad he normally sits there.

Roc's POV

I come in and see's Ej in my seat so i just sat behind Maddie and give him a look. Maddie see's me eyeing him. She hit my arm and said stop he's new. He wouldn't know. She's right he is new so I stopped and didn't say anything. I wondered why I was so mad when Ej sat in my spot next to Maddie. I saw Maddie and Ej talking and relized he was flirty with her I got even more mad. Why was I so mad like she's my best friend. Why was I so mad every time I see her talking to a guy that's not Jacob me or Ray. I started to think about it as mr.freeman's boring ass walked in and started speaking Spanish.

What did I say class. He looks around the room and see's me not playing attention. He called on me and I just looked up and went huh.

He starts to repeat what he said when Jacob tells me what he says because he speaks Spanish because he's Mexican and black. I say what Jacob says

Yes correct Mr. Young. Then pauses and says I see we have a new student in the class room. Ej stands up and says hi my name is Ej and just moved her from Tampa Florida. Mr.freedman asked if he specks Spanish because there's a lot of Spanish people in Florida. Ej replied alittle.

I start to doze off when Maddie hit me on my arm and says wake up.

Sorry I'm so tried quess who wouldn't leave me alone last night. I said

Yea that bxtch she wants to get back together. Maddie just gives me a look and turns around. I put my head down and start to think about Maddie and Ej and why I was so mad about them talking and flirty. And how I get mad every time I see Maddie talking to guy that at not me Jacob or Ray. Them boom it hit me. I'm jealous! I'm jealous because I like Maddie.
